Many urban planners are discussing the opposite - ban inefficient, private use vehicles from cities and provide better cycling infrastructure. Wins all round. Except for lazy people.
I'm all for a better designed bicycle helmet, and I'd use it in some circumstances. But I'm vehemently against the government mandating that I must wear one.
Dude, I appreciate your efforts to restrict your children's online activity with an emphasis on interpersonal contact and physical activity, however you've gone way too far. I can assure you that this will backfire in a big way, the only thing you will achieve is to alienate yourself from your kids if you insist on your hardline position. Loosen up a bit mate, be their friend and mentor, not their "restrictions and monitoring" overseer.
A truck driving friend of mine once sent me a photo of his delivery - pallets full of pharmaceuticals being delivered to a breakfast cereal plant in time for the sticky kids cereal batch run. The cereal box says "fortified with iron and vitamins". Why not just have the HEALTHY and NATURAL option of bran and sliced fruit? That's good for your colon, heart and tastebuds. Why? Because the advertising industry is employed by these food companies to brainwash kids (and apparently people like you) into believing this processed sticky shit is somehow healthy.
I'm sick to death of those overweight, oversized cans slowing me down on my bicycle commute - my average speed is 36kph. Their average speed is 14kph. And don't give me the "cyclists don't pay registration fees" argument, that's bullshit. I pay more tax than most people and I pay rego for two cars. Also, road maintenance is payed for by general taxation. Registration doesn't even cover the administration costs.
pronto.net. Not Open Source although you can get a developers license that allows you to compile 4GL programs. If the business is worth running, then it's worth paying for mature software and support. Very rich suite of applications, including CRM, inventory, warehouse, project costing, POS, payroll, ARAP, plant maintenance, hire, assets, RFI, etc
Australia's mandatory bicycle helmet laws are one such example, having changed public attitudes negatively towards cycling, and marginalising it as an extreme sport. This, in a time when cities need cycling as the infrastructure buckles under the weight of 17.2 million motor vehicles.
So where is your data that refutes my comment? Just as I though, you're a worthless troll piece of shit who happens to disagree with my plausible view. Data up or fuck off.
Admittedly, I based my concept on what seem to me to be common sense assumptions given the longevity of radiation and the long migratory habits of fish. If you have data that contradicts my assumptions, I'd like to see it. Cheers
Things to consider: A. How much radioactive water has actually leaked into the Pacific Ocean prior to the latest reports? B. What is the true amount of radioactive water still leaking into the Pacific Ocean? C. How long until the leaks are stopped? D. Given A,B and C, what will be the total amount of radioactive water to be dispersed from the local site? E. Given D, how may fish are likely to encounter this area, considering fish migrate thousands of miles? F. Given E, How many predatory fish will each the contaminated fish, spreading radiation through the marine food chain? G. What is the period of time the radiation will remain in the marine food chain?
I think I'll be testing my fish with a geiger counter for a while.
They should have gone with Pronto. An Australian ERP company that is quickly responsive to changes in legislation (for Australian and overseas customers) and very flexible during implementation.
I've recently finished a two year planning and implementation of Pronto for my employer, and we are impressed with the outcome. We were on budget, accomplished within a reasonable timeframe (given some feature creep) and the post implementation support is great.
Holy horse manure! Let me get this straight... you would willingly allow terminated employees to take data... 800GB of research lab data... with them... when they leave??? Holy shit, what is your company researching?? The effects of idiocy on absolute idiots??
So who sets up the production environment at your work place? The developers? OK, that might work, if they have systems administration experience.
Let me bring some perspective to your analogy; Allowing a systems administrator access to the production environment is like giving the scalpel to god.
Because they are hired by the company that you work for to manage the network that they own, and like it or not, you use.
If you haven't presented a case to your supervisor for an alternate printing arrangement, perhaps you should do so. If you have, and it was overturned, either suck it up or quit.

Welcome to the bottom third.

What the fuck's a bing?
If you have a life you just don't get time for these online distractions.
Oh, but you do have time to trawl and comment AC on slashdot? Heh heh can't help myself
Why?
You'd better read that licensing agreement for MSSE again, you are limited to ten installs in an organisation.

Ballmer, shut the fuck up. You're meant to be enjoying retirement.
99.9 percent of drivers are absolute selfish shit, myself included.

You gotta get the miner first. Then when you get the miner, you need the power. Then when you get the power, then you get the bitcoin.

Technically yes, a PC can act as a router. However scaling such a system to accommodate the required tier 1 connectivity would be impossible.

Look at the bright side. At least now you've got time to post on Slashdot.

Why should I even listen to those asses?
