Did you know semen has a lot of zinc in it? If you jerk it often, you could easily be zinc-deficient. So if you find youself racking up many Frequent Masturbator Miles, get a jar of peanuts and put it right there beside the Kleenex. That way, when you've had your fill of lesbian action (or tentacle porn, fox cock, whatever floats your boat!) you'll remember to eat a handful of zinc-rich peanuts.
Who knows, you might even swallow some leftover baby batter with those peanuts - the more zinc, the better!
The risks of zinc deficiency include: nausea, diarrhea, and yes, even blindness. Spread the word, and help stop zinc deficiency!
Sure, you can go out and buy a CD today, but what about in 10 years? 5? CDs will eventually be replaced by SACD or DVD-A, both of which have DRM schemes. If we don't stop DRM now, there will be no alternative.
Sure, DRM can and will be cracked, but that's not what it's about. The iTunes DRM can be cracked, too. It provides a major inconvenience, many hurdles for us to jump over just to use something we already bought & payed for.
About DVD-A's encryption being cracked, it wasn't What happened was a patch was released for WinDVD to redirect the output to a file instead of a sound card. You can bet the RIAA is working on a way to neutralize this.
Realistically, the bacteria would be foreign to us, and might kill most humans who came in contract with it. Think Indians (excuse me, Native Americans) and smallpox. We have no resistance against Martian bacteria.
Windows will never die, not unless something major happens like Microsoft shuts down... not likely.
It's just that people don't care enough, or don't know enough. "Here's a Mandrake install disc, have fun." Maybe they'll mess with it for a few minutes, but then the killer question comes: "How do I put my kids' <i>Game X</i> on it?" or "How do I use my camera?" I've tried to convert several people to Linux, and there's <i>always</i> a killer question. Some site needs Active X, or some shit company doesn't make Linux drivers for their hardware. If nothing else, "This doesn't look like Excel. How do I put Windows back on?"
I'm sure you've all read those jokes in the respectable upstanding citizen! magazines like Reader's Digest, about how computers are unreliable. Everyone I talk to has this conception that computers are inherently unreliable machines that will always break. But when they say computers, they really mean Windows. They don't know the difference between a monitor and a modem, they just want to push the little blue button and have their email pop up... viruses and all.
In summary, Windows will be the #1 OS until a significant proportion of Wal Mart computers come with an alternative OS (not likely unless MS looses their grip) or people get smarter (not likely period).
I admit, I posted it mostly to see if it would get modded up.
"Did you ever got the feeling you only mod up 'in Soviet Russia' cause you're supposed to?"
Ogg is indeed better, especially at low bitrates. Try encoding a song into a 64 kb/s MP3, and a 64 kb/s Ogg, and comparing the two. The difference is clear.
Part of me wants to say this type of profile is wrong, but another part knows it makes sense. It's likely as much of a dilemma to the politicians: Do you start racial/age profiling and (possibly) make the system more robust, and loose the Slashdot vote and support of minority groups? Or do you keep the system as it is and have people complaining left and right.
lolololol pwned
He's right, you know. The Anonymous. And the moderation system is useless, it pushes a mental monoculture and dissenting opinions are modded as trolls or flamebait. I have both set to add +5 points instead of subtract to combat this. I have to sift through some crap posts, but if that's what it costs, so be it.
I read the news today oh boy
3,000 holes in Windows Long-... Vista
And though the holes were rather small
They had to exploit it all
Now they know how many holes it takes to fill the
OK yeah you fill in the rest.
TFA says they were "key members of online piracy networks", meaning someone running a huge torrent site, or members of a cracking crew. TFA also says it wasn't just music piracy, but games, movies, and apps.
We're worried about PC gaming dying? It'll be the consoles that falter if these wonderful earnings keep up. "But Microsoft has millions of dollars, they'll never go bankrupt!" No, but nor will they keep a gaming division going that is continually in the red. It's bad business. Same goes for the other console manufacturers.
Timekeeping is one of those basic things that need to be put down, standardized, and kept that way. Forever. It's like latitude and longitude, they don't change it in Country X just to make their numbers look prettier, because it needs to be consistent all over Earth.
No DST at all, and everyone using the 24-hour clock would be the best way to go around this.
If ads are printed on both sides of a magazine page, I rip them out. Always.
Has anyone read the "definitions" on page 2 of the article? What a joke:
"PDF - portable document format, which means the file is in a format that can be read on any PC
Excell - this helps to run programs on your PC.
Java Script - a computer programming language.
Worm - this is a virus that replicates itself until it fills all of the storage space on a drive or network."
Did anyone else think of Vortigaunts when reading that?

Don't worry, everyone does it, it's perfectly normal.
Fuck the Bible, what about your rights? I don't want to be tracked and monitored every hour of the day, much less involuntarily.

50 degrees? Damn that's chilly!
(Surely you mean celsius, try to be clear. Next time the number might not be so obvious. You could end up crashing a space probe or something.)

No, I believe he invented the internets.
Did Al Gore invent the Internet?

CoolWebSearch does seem to be one of the more prevalent infections, like the flu.
Score one for common sense. I'm getting tired of reading bullshit about San Andreas and "Should medicinal cannabis remain illegal?" in the news.

In the days of my youth, I was told what it means to be a man. Now I've reached that age I try to do all those things the best I can.

Not to mention that's just one album of many, and just one donwload source (iTunes) of many.
