That was my take as well. The game was so horrible I actually questioned whether they truley tested the gameplay at all, other than fixing bugs. I spent about 10 hours playing the game before I just gave up from not caring and then tossed the disc away so noone else would have the opportunity to play such utter crap.

This game, and ffxiv have made up my mind to never purchase anything from square-enix based in the FF universe ever again. Its all pretentious(sp) crap, signature of a yes-man company model where noone has balls in their company to say "NO! that is a dumbass idea, we're not doing that!".

It really comes down more to knowing how to play the game. If google didnt respond to the initial RFP (request for proposal) or attend an RFI (request from industry) or not even have a schedule on the GSA, they had this coming, and no amount of suits will fix it. If they dont play by the rules everyone else has to, you dont get the contract, period. If anything this will be an eye opener. Im not saying its perfect, but its shaped the way it is because people complained in the past, so they came up with convoluted rules to enforce things. The only ones to blame for this process is the people themselves.

Essentially, all the games play like a good latency online game. The only thing i'm not sure I like at the moment is the some of the minor artifacting you'll see due to the video compression. Again, this only really comes into play if you stop and look for it, during action you'll not notice it too much as you'll be busy paying attention to other things ;). Though right now, I cant say for sure how this service will perform in the future, as you apply for entrance into the service currently. Once anyone can join whenever they want, its hard to say how quickly OnLive will adjust to increased congestion.

Well of course losses are not real if they are hypothetical. Hypotheticals are not considered real until proven, by the very definition of Hypothetical: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/Hypothetical syn: suppositional, theoretical, speculative.

Hypotheticals should never be used in courts of law because they are not yet truth, but thats just my opinion, and nobody cares about that ;)

The other statement you referenced is based on that most arguments I've seen, and were made by my original post's father and were hypothetical in nature. There were assumptions made on the hypothesis that the company would have made money if the thief had not stolen the item, which is unfounded, because in that statement they do not disprove that they wouldn't have made money if he hadn't. The company's intent was that this should be taken as fact (when it is not fact yet) and thus be applied as an opportunity cost, which only has basis in fact, not on hypothetical possibilities of an unproven nature.
