Maybe just my perception, but it seemed like it was about 10 years ago where itty bitty fonts and low contrast type was the big thing. If anything, I think things have gotten better. In any case, the client becomes more important in how text looks, particularly in the mobile arena.
I have decided that I'm not going to break a law... even if it's some kind of trivial, asinine law.. just to watch a Hollywood movie. They're not even worth it.
In Virginia, the weather also has changed dramatically. Recently arrived residents in the northern suburbs, accustomed to today's anemic winters, might find it astonishing to learn that there were once ski runs on Ballantrae Hill in McLean, with a rope tow and local ski club. Snow is so scarce today that most Virginia children probably don't own a sled. But neighbors came to our home at Hickory Hill nearly every winter weekend to ride saucers and Flexible Flyers.
(And you can read the rest of the text from the link, it's plainly in the context of climate change.)
''I bought a sled in '96 for my daughter,'' said Dr. Michael Oppenheimer, a scientist at the nonprofit Environmental Defense Fund. ''It's been sitting in the stairwell, and hasn't been used..." ...
And Dr. Oppenheimer, among other ecologists, points to global warming as perhaps the most significant long-term factor.
Imagine you are at a restaurant. It takes three hours for your food to arrive...
All due respect, but I think the problem with this analogy is that most people would be walking out the exit at 45 minutes to an hour (unless it were made very clear it would take that long).
Don't worry, we still have 10 years before this becomes unsolvable.
At least one candidate has suffered cyber crises 100 days preceding, at least.
Well I wrote a program to detect racism in Internet comments.
The first test, it returned notifications on ALL comment sections scanned.
There were no false positives.
Are you capable of thinking in anything approaching non-sequiturs?
A moose once bit my sister.
No, he's putting "the world ending" on the job queue, which is scheduled to run every year, but never does.
I'm estimating we'll see a real tipping point in ten years.

A decade out... funny how that 10 years number always seems to figure into these things.
Maybe they should Ask Jeeves.
It's just like antipathy toward Muslims is "racism". It is if it's convenient to tar you with that brush.
That's what we get for naming a planet after a dirty ho of a goddess.

Every time I hear "social progress" I look around to see where the re-education camps might go. Couple that with "AI" and I'm doubly terrified.
Mostly someone spouting off. I think I was remembering an op-ed by Robert Kennedy Jr. (I looked it up, published in 2008):

But even scientists can pin the blame as they see fit:

I remember when climate change (back when it was called global warming) was responsible for lack of snow in winter.
Now that (in my area, and elsewhere) we are getting record snows, guess what causes that...
Suppose they don't approve of your selling those "Make America Great Again" caps?
Probably amazed he didn't know about Stack Overflow.
Hah, very true! If you know about Google, you should know about Stack Overflow. :)
You're just jealous he didn't "Ask Slashdot".
I've been doing it for free.
Microsoft cannot even successfully bring a phone to market. Don't we think curing cancer is just a wee bit harder?
On the other hand, some researchers think that cancer can be targeted and destroyed by viruses, so Microsoft might have a leg up.
No. This article clearly means we'll be transporting ourselves to Mars before the week is out.
It doesn't happen that fast. Based on news like this we've heard in the past, though, transporting to Mars is just 10 years away.
They don't have many websites, but apparently they have a fair number of Anonymous Cowards.
Why is the Republican support not there? Donald Trump has the most primary votes of any Republican in history.
Even with this, most Republicans voted for someone other than Trump.

... the Info Wars has.
Funny that we're concerned about this now that DNC emails are being leaked. Never heard about this before.
