    Thank you. Where are your positive moderations? (Answer: I don't have any at the moment, so I'm posting.) Why so much hatred for the rural folks on Slashdot? I would love to live more in a more urban setting, but there are more complicating factors that prevent that. So to all you "tough shit" city-dwellers - thanks for nothing, assholes.

    Capitalism is an economic system of lending money for as much profit as possible.

    Capitalism is more properly defined as a system in which the means of production are privately owned (as Wikipedia has it). It may have some aspects that conform with your definition, but that's not the whole of capitalism.

    If I am a non-working designer and I have a chance to spend a few minutes in photoshop designing some logo for your crappy company Cheapskate Inc., it doesn't cost me anything other than time to make a logo of a roller skate with pennies for wheels.

    Ooh! I like the way you're thinking! Now, just make me up 6 or 7 full-color variations on this theme - suitable for envelopes, brochures, and billboards - and if I like any, I'll buy one.

    Text adventure games were quite involving, if the player made the effort to get into the game. You are right about the "GET ..." breaking your experience, along with other commands not working all the time. Better adventure games would give you "You can't do that right now..." which was bad, but considerably better than "I don't see a 'X' here," when it just got done describing the 'X' in the text!
