How does the heat from the core bypass the "surface" and heat the photosphere to 1mil. kelvin? Is there any observable evidence to support the theory that the core is so dense and hot? How surprising can it be? Just look at all the bloody "geniuses" our schools put out. Eventually some of them go to work for Uncle Sam. Obviously there seem to be a lot of them in the Department of Education as well as other government sectors.
Never before has an established government tried to keep their citizens is as much fear as ours. No effort has been spared to instill this sense of insecurity. The media shouts the alarm in every possible way. Science is abused and used to declare doom and destruction. Boogie men lurk at every turn ready to rape our children and blow up our buildings. Even American citizens are turned into prospective terrorists.
Why? To What Ends. Who benefits in the long run.
Let us live our lives in peace, without fear mongering!!!
Eugenics is evil. Control of the outcome of birth is only half the means to an unproven end. The other side of the eugenics coin is the control over who is suitable to continue living and who will be weeded out. Eugenics has always used both of these methods to attempt to create the "superman". Beware the folk who promote eugenics. They, in most cases, have delusions of grandeur and feel they alone can make the decisions concerning who lives and who dies.
Note that religion also finds no contradictions to its teachings in nature and the belief system of most religions do not allow for a believer to reconsider their "theory" (dogma in other words).
"Part of the problem is that the game industry is often touted as being a corrupting influence for the youth of the world." This is a statement that has no basis in fact. Kids used to play cowboys and indians and other games that involved pretend gunfights and pretend killing. Since the memory of man goeth not to the contrary children have had games that involved make believe violence.
I believe it is clear who is to blame for the lack of disipline that todays youth displays: The social workers who strike fear into parents and the psychiatrists with their diagnosis of "attention deficit disorder". When a child has only self direction to steer them because their parents are to afraid to teach them the word NO then you get a child who is confused, anxious even violent. Of course this is nothing a good dose of ritlan or some such drug can't fix right up.
Please note that a majority of the proponents of the theory that video games cause violence in youth are the social workers and the psychiatrists. Look at the time line. When these two groups became the last word in child rearing is when most of the problems in young people (violence in particular) started.
These people are educated and totally aware of what they have wrought in the lives of our children.

I'm sure the history of gambling prohibition has root in some B.S. moral/religious grounds. Gambling does seem to lose most, if not all, of its EVIL value when regulated by government.
A fiction no matter how bizarre, if repeated often enough becomes accepted as fact especially if it's reinforced by the voice of some Authority or other.
As taxpayers we support a industry worth tens of billions of dollars. It's called "The War On Drugs".
In the 1970's Nixon started this "war" with a budget of 100 million dollars. Today the drugs on the streets of our country are much cheaper and more plentiful.
The statement "As a taxpayer" does not qualify an opinion as valid.
