Or the purpose of the article is to bring light to the fact that he won the contest using only FOSS software, and they chose the title of "How to Make Money" as a pun, where you would assume they meant "how to profit", but they literally meant "how to design money".
But the GP was saying why there shouldn't be DRM, and requiring the user to have the disc is a form of DRM. Without that, what he means is he should be able to install the game, and then lend the disc to someone. That person can install the game, and then they can both still play, because without the DRM, it wouldn't require a disc to play. It's less ridiculous if you replace "loaning a book" with "taking a book down to Kinko's to get it copied for free by my friend who works there so he can have a copy, too."
And you have to remember that Anonymous is not any kind of unified group. It would be like saying "remember, geeks are the ones who hacked into that bank". It's not a unified group with any sort of central leadership or anything like that.
I agree with this 100%. I have Opera installed on this machine, but I prefer Fx2. As soon as I see the first nag screen about this, I'm switching over to Opera.
Upon this first, and in one sense this sole, rule of reason, that in order to learn you must desire to learn, and in so desiring not be satisfied with what you already incline to think, there follows one corollary which itself deserves to be inscribed upon every wall of the city of philosophy:
Do not block the way of inquiry.
Although it is better to be methodical in our investigations, and to consider the economics of research, yet there is no positive sin against logic in trying any theory which may come into our heads, so long as it is adopted in such a sense as to permit the investigation to go on unimpeded and undiscouraged. On the other hand, to set up a philosophy which barricades the road of further advance toward the truth is the one unpardonable offence in reasoning, as it is also the one to which metaphysicians have in all ages shown themselves the most addicted.
An analysis of the data showed that the safest speed to travel was 10 to 15 mph faster then the flow of traffic. (Car and Driver had a great analysis of it)
So, everyone should go 10 to 15mph faster than the flow of traffic? Oh wait, that just increases the flow of traffic 10 to 15 mph, guess everyone better speed up another 10 or 15 mph to reach a safe speed. Oh wait...
what do you think of the possibility of another Soviet Union?
Maybe it would cause the United States to get its ass in gear again. We developed a whole lot of stuff in the Cold War pissing match with the CCCP. It would probably do us good to have another.
Unfortunately, the GPL is incompatible with their SDK license. Someone should probably let the people that write that application know before Apple decides to sue them off the planet for exposing their super secret API.

Maybe you should know who you're talking to?
See instead: Linus Torvalds
This is largely the idea behind GoboLinux I think. As a matter of fact, a lot of what's going to be said here has probably already been said here.
That McCain/Palin don't get elected if you want this kind of research to continue.
I can administer a test with the NP-meter as well, but we aren't sure yet if they're actually the same thing.
So the United States is a computer manufacturer? No, I don't think so.
33333 That's what I was thinking about the whole time I was reading through this discussion.
An unfunny and played out one.
Then why can't you just use the pause selection in the dock menu? You don't have to go find it to pause it.

I don't particularly agree with loaning it to someone, but re: selling it, read about first sale doctrine.
You are a pirate!

Why should they be forced to upgrade because you're stressing the system?
Replying to undo moderation. I hate the one-click moderation shit.

No, that wrong.
This is part of the problem. People keep saying that's how you can disable the AwesomeBar, but it's not true.
Let me spell it out for you...
THE AWESOME BAR CAN NOT BE DISABLED

I suggest you do a little reading about NYCL here before you try to bash him. He's contributed a whole hell of a lot more than you (or I) ever will.

Though I'm excited to see that the Homestar Runner folks are still going strong, $10 sounds a little excessive for that.
It's also impossible to open source an application you write for the iPhone.
