so you have to plug the solar panel into your lighter to get it to work? No wonder it was only $2.
Now if you get me one that can send power TO the car instead of requiring power FROM the car, I might consider it.

yes, the difference between the axe and the scalpel.
Although I'm sure the Empire used more sophisticated computer systems so it absolutely required finesse. I'd recommend we start using the alternate term, but I'm sure it would be spun in an even worse fashion, seeing as nobody would be familiar with the new word and would automatically link it to knives or other blades. (I would fall out of my chair the first time someone mistakenly called 911 because their grandmother said she got sliced up.)
Perhaps we could spin it the other way and get the term associated with pizza. or PIE! mmmmm....pie.....auuuughhhhhh......
I want an OS that does what I want. I haven't found one that completely fills my needs. I have no agenda either way towards free/non-free. I don't want to get screwed out of my money because I bought an OS that didn't live up to my standards (Again). I am a potential customer, and may end up buying it (highly unlikely at this point), but as long as there exists little to no return policies for software (but but you could have copied it and sent it out over the internet!), then I find a way to try it if I feel the need.
Let's just say I'm not buying it or trying it and leave it at that, shall we? Or would you like the last word?
I don't feel the need to pirate from a small and specialized company....I just don't feel the need to give over my hard earned cash to try some marginal OS that (by your statistics) less than 5% would use, only to find out that....I'm part of the 95% non-Zeta users out there. If I like it and there's enough support for it to get things working, I'll think about it. But hey, I already run a small-market OS that actually has plenty of support. And guess what.....it was free.
How many people hate one of the places they used to work for? Can you imagine how many unfounded accusations would be lobbed at past employers. You'd have to have anonymity when posting such things, for fear that your employer could get your information. This supposed site would have so many unfounded and just plain WRONG accusations you wouldn't know what was true and what wasn't anymore, making it useless.
And, even providing that a majority of the accusations are true, how much would it really hurt the employers? "Oh no, sir, I read that the company we use for all our advertising makes up statistics for their clients in order to make them look better. In fact, this ad firm actually hires people to do fake 'testimonials' to bolster the percieved quality of their clients' products. For shame! We shouldn't do business with these liars!"
No company will stop doing something that makes them money unless it starts costing them money. A subset of people on the internet casting about rumor about supposed unseemly behavior won't cost them a dime.
Alert: #135745 exhibits dangerous signs of individuality. Detain and capture for repair purposes per Queen Directive #42. If malfunction persists, initiate eradication procedure.
Shhh....I'm working on that. Unfortunately, I had to leave the country due to the recent civil war, and I can not get the $10,000,000 in research money out.....
If you would like to help me recover this money....
I'd hope it would be, but seeing as how you could construe that it counts as 'obscenity' for the entire state of Utah then perhaps they're just trying to cover their bases. I don't want the federal government coming in and dictating the rules in every situation, especially as this is a state thing...but if the free speech angle doesn't work, then bringing in the feds should. They like their fingers in all the pies, remember?
This seems like an 'ends justifies the means' scenario, but perhaps the effort to start two separate battles when you know the second one is most likely to work isnt worth it. They're bringing out the arguement that is most likely to work.
Gentoo isn't about the optimization at compile time. It's about not compiling in unnecessary options. USE flags let you build small binaries that curb the encroachment of bloat. Seen in this way, bringing the Gentoo philosophy to Microsoft will seriously slow down the wave of bloat.
Unfortunately, that won't happen...can you imagine being able to compile programs without IE support? It'll probably turn around that the USE flags ADD support for MS programs. USE="IE autoMSUpdate win32codecs mediaplayer -mozilla"
Try checking out the Project Orange. I'm not sure if any major studios are using blender, but I do know Spider Man 2 used Blender for a pre-visualization rendering...it worked rather well.
I'm just upset that the new HDRI code uses features only available in Yafray 0.0.8....which doesn't happen to be out yet. All my HDRI renders turned out like crap once I upgraded. But every other file sure is rendering a lot quicker. Thats a definate plus. And with new features coming quickly, I'm in monkey heaven.
Animator: Hm...Here's this rather mature 3d modelling/animating program, which could probably allow me to animate a lot more cheaply...in fact, it's free! That's wonderful! But does it have softbody support? No? Well, then it doesn't have the full functionality I require. I sure am glad I didn't need to try the program to find that out. It sure is great to find out specs before you spend time and money on a new program. Perhaps it's worth it to pay for something else.....
Well said....his entire arguement that perhaps you are grossly misstating the goals and aims of the ACLU goes right out the window because he attached it onto the end of your sentence. Perhaps he should have stated it in precise English, so you would understand it.
You are grossly misstating the goals of the ACLU, using the fallacy of assigning guilt by association. Since sleazy businessmen would profit, the ACLU must obviously be supporting sending pornography to children. By the same logic, since the ACLU fights for the right of neo-Nazis to associate and protest non-violently, they must be anti-Semitic hatemongerers themselves.
Now I think I'll go take that cold shower....just typing that made me feel dirty.
Except that if an employer fires you, they're still able to pay the bills. If you're that important, you've got some sort of contract.
Since the employer sits at an economic advantage over the individual employee, the employee enjoys certain advantages and should not be subject to some sort of 'mirror' law that speaks to a sense of fair play, but is in fact anything but.

My apologies, you can clearly understand how I got the impression that you use BeOS by seeing how you've so devoutly covered these comments.
And thats oh so helpful of you to dismiss me as not being of the target market. I'm certainly not anymore.

No thanks, zealo.....uh, passionate BeOS user.
its also widely known that Carrie Fisher 1.2 is illegal to own in many jurisdictions. You're looking for Carrie Fisher 1.8 or above, you sicko.

If you're going to do it right, do it right.
It's Dupe of URL.

You'll be my first beta tester.
Like all the people writing for Windows 3.1?
