I was also thinking that 20 years would be quite optimal time. On most works, no money is milked any more (and the product not in sale), but the artwork could still provide enjoyment (and historical value).
Why has it always been so slow to log on to a domain in Windows? Even in 7, it can still sit there for minutes. If it was implemented in a sane manner, I bet you could transmit and process a lot of information in mere 10 seconds, even if it included the credentials, network drive mappings, policies and some scripting.
"The LiquidKeyboard is a virtual keyboard for touch screens and surfaces that adapts to the user’s natural finger positions and allows users to touch-type on smooth surfaces. We are currently working on this research project at the University of Technology, Sydney (managed by UniQuest) on our second iPad prototype."
I think an optical disc is the most proper format for archiving stuff. Flash memory is purposed only for live systems and is prone to ESD shocks and maybe data degradation in general. But of course a built-in optical drive is not needed, an USB one shared with all computers is the best solution.
I suppose people can be great artists if they find the correct "brain connection" for it. I feel that I can visualize marvelous drawings inside my head but translating it to a piece of paper is another story.
You must be thinking the system in some other way. If we ran the whole world in the same timezone (for example similar to UTC), year would change at 00:00 everywhere, but whether it's night or day then, would depend on your country. This is how I see it.
What do you mean? You would still go to sleep in the night and wake up in the morning, at the sunrise. The clock might just show different numbers on those occasions.
Maybe some similar protocol could be developed which would be like HTML but actually designed to serve UI elements instead of static hyperlink pages. Content would still be pulled from "the cloud". HTML+scripts is kind of bubble gum for creating apps. It's practical indeed, but it's a hack.
The Kindle does that with its e-ink screen, while no LCD-based tablet can come close because the screens don't work well in sunlight and they require recharging after a few hours of use.
Hey, let's not forget Pixel Qi displays. Currently at least the Notion Ink Adam can be bought with such.
"The currently available literature indicates that nicotine, on its own, does not promote the development of cancer in healthy tissue and has no mutagenic properties. However, nicotine and the increased cholinergic activity it causes have been shown to impede apoptosis, which is one of the methods by which the body destroys unwanted cells (programmed cell death). Since apoptosis helps to remove mutated or damaged cells that may eventually become cancerous, the inhibitory actions of nicotine may create a more favourable environment for cancer to develop, though this also remains to be proven."
Not only colors. Wii games generally have a softer approach than their cousins on other platforms. There certainly is a more gay-like feeling to them. It's hard to describe accurately.
Try defining the environment variable CONDOM=1 while configuring. I've used it on many obscure platforms and I've never seen any child processes running. It also has a nice double function of protecting the system from most instances of malware.
Remember when a year or two ago HTML5 video was proposed to replace Flash Player? Back then there was a lot of talk about it, but I guess it has never happened. Just pondering.
Were the fake stores actually a plus to Apple? While they are not authentic Apple Stores, they still are pretty neat shops which sell original Apple gear.

This guy can post marvelous Slashdot comments while sleeping, but when he's awake, it becomes like that.
I too have been many times amazed how detailed and realistic dream stories the brain can generate from scratch. One helluva piece of hardware.

Or I'd have to remember if 3:30 PM is early morning one day or late evening the previous one...
I don't see why that would happen. If it turned out that, say, 02:00 PM is early morning in your country, then it would be so every day.
What do you mean? You would still go to sleep in the night and wake up in the morning, at the sunrise. The clock might just show different numbers on those occasions.
Pentium 100MHz...
No. It would only stir up the hivenest, generate a few angry replies, and nothing would happen.
I don't think so. It would be good to rise up discussion on the subject.
I'm on the same thoughts. Windows 7 is solid enough for an all-around machine, although it's still nice to have a Linux netbook around for hacking.
A mechanical HDD is pretty much always the biggest bottleneck.

And 100% PITA...
Finland: Cell phone manufacturer going down alert
Not necessarily. This is what Wikipedia says:
"The currently available literature indicates that nicotine, on its own, does not promote the development of cancer in healthy tissue and has no mutagenic properties. Well, that wouldn't technically disprove the point. It only says that in addition to programmers who can't design, there's bad designers too...
And those would be < and > to be specific.
