  5. Microsoft Downhill ? on Why Vista Had To Be Rebuilt From Scratch · · Score: 0
Reading the news i did come across this.

By late October, Mr. Srivastava's team was beginning to automate the testing that had historically been done by hand. If a feature had too many bugs, software "gates" rejected it from being used in Longhorn. If engineers had too many outstanding bugs they were tossed in "bug jail" and banned from writing new code. The goal, he says, was to get engineers to "do it right the first time."

No wonder that Windows has so many bugs, becose there is little chance that the human mind can find a single bug in a single line of code that is made up of 500.000 lines or more. It is impossible. It is also clear that they way they where treating there engineers does not improve moral over there.

This is the start of Microsoft fall as the biggest software company on the planet. They may take one step forward, but they have already taken three steps backwards some time ago.

No, that is not possible. Here is why, if they where to drill holes in it, then the magma has an clear path to go up to the ground and form a cinder clone or a new volcano. Or the second options, it might just blow up into sky in one big cloud of ash, since it depends alot of what type the magma is beneth the crust there. Explosive or the type that just flote arourd, but given the area where this is, my guess is the explosive type. Big mess that comes from that.

The artical states that this did start in the year 1997 and has been riseing about 3 meters (10 feet) a year, and that is a fast moving magma. The question however is how big amount of magma is needed to start a eruption there, and nobody has the answer for that question.

However, it is clear (unless something changes over there) that this area is going to erupt in the future, the big question is just when it is going to happen.

EULA aren't a contract, it's a agreement that removes your right to make a software that works on other OS that you might use. Or to create your own software that is able to connect to the client software in the first place.

I don't need to grow up, you do. But some pepole might think that you like it when company like Blizzard sues you to the moon.

If they don't provide it in the format i like it best i won't buy the product in the first place. That means no money for the company in question. They are also saying to me as an consumer that i don't matter to them becose i am not following everyone else out there.

Your logic is flawed. This isn't about money, it's about software and the right to run it on every freaking thing you want it to run it on. Even if you have to reverse engeener it. Since the pepole did buy the game to start with.

"Their intent was to distribute a tool that has no legitimate purpose according to the game makers. Period."

You have nothing to support that argument. Nothing. Oh, it is dangerus to quote Blizzard in this matter. Everytone is an criminal in the eye of the company. Rember **AA, they treat there own consumers in the same way. We are all thef and thugs in there eyes.

Pepole want to play on there own servers, good for them. I don't see it is any of Blizzard issues. If i want to play a game with my friend over the internet and not to use Blizzard server i have the right to do so and it is none of Blizzard issues.
