Obama, what an asshole. He gladly breaks the tradition of lame ducks not rocking the boat. He antagonizes Israel at the UN and now tries to declare war on Russia. What's next? Invade Ireland to seize Apple's cash, then nuke North Korea?
There are a few elite hackers, people who really understand the low-leveling functioning of the system, who write the payloads in assembler.
Of course. A piece of code in assembler that gets injected on the system via a clever manipulation of the power phase and/or fan oscillation, delivered via Q-spoiling. Once infected, the host system sends an email to the hacker to let him know which version of Wordpress is running on the server so he can know which php file to upload and pwn the organization.
A country that regularly invades other country to force a change in government gets its panties in a twist over a theory that someone might have taken an interest in their election. The US does this all the time.
That's just not true. More often than not, there's no invasion, instead of group of puppet opponents are trained and funded by the USA. Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Nicaragua, Argentina, Chile, Zaire/Congo, Cuba, Colombia, Panama, El Salvador, Ghana, Haiti, Honduras, Uruguay, Guatemala. Probably many others.
I'm running FC24 on my main box right now, and I have a big list of things I need to pull from third party repos before it is functional for stuff besides development and web browsing.
I guess you're talking about RPMFusion. What's the problem with third-party repos? Are you installing all your Windows software from the Microsoft App Store?
Customization is always possible, but usually difficult
And what level of customization do you have on Windows? Changing the wallpaper?
Well, it has been a good 10 years since I switched from Windows, when the next computer replacement comes around, I am taking a look at switching back to Windows again.
Fedora 25 is vastly superior to OSX and Windows. This is not 2003 anymore.
I always wondered why one would pay over US$900 for something that has functionality of other devices at half the cost; and would be "obsolete" in a year.
Stability, ease of use, frequency of updates, much better overall security, etc, etc. iPhone is far from obsolete in 1-2 years, they receive updates for at least four.
The obsolescence is peer-driven. Nobody wants to be seen in a Starbucks with an iPhone 5.
Maybe next they will brag that iPhone users spend the most time "engaging" with adapters? Or that they "laser focus" on a single task at a time (since they can't listen to music and charge their phone at once)?
I don't know if this is cognitive dissonance or some kind of Stockholm Syndrome, but if you are still unaware that Apple is ripping you off by forcing you to buy more of their proprietary adapters that solve no actual problems, just because they can, then it's just plain sad. With their billions and their tens of thousands of employees they could do fantastic things, but instead they just find more ways to milk their shrinking customer base. Pathetic.
Sheesh, if he'd bought a $500 HD camera and a couple of lights, he could have made actual porn and turned a profit while still having fun.
I don't think so. First, porn hosting/streaming is expensive because most hosts refuse this type of content. Second, the market is saturated, largely by amateurs who work for free or for pocket change. And third, in that business you simply can't get paid; the reputable payment providers like Paypal won't touch porn, and that leaves ones that are either part of an existing distribution network or that are linked to organized crime and anyways it scares away a vast majority of customers. There are ways and platforms (like clips4sale) but the ROI is just not there, even if your investment is low.
Sure it talks about porn sites. Which a large proportion of/. readers PROBABLY[0] access.
Access... or block. I remember fondly my sysadmin days, fighting a losing battle against corporate users who seemed to have a knack for finding the most disturbing sites. Ultraspecialized porn can leave a scar.
So, if he's doing all the hard work of setting up a business presence, recruiting the women & manipulating them, why not go the extra mile and actually make a legitimate porn operation out of it & collect the revenue?
Porn nowadays is a low-margin, high volume business. A small time recruiter is not adding enough value to be relevant, unless he's part of an established network.
border protection (uh, isn't this a TRUMP WALL item?)
About the Trump wall - are you aware that the Mexicans are themselves building a wall in the south to stop illegal immigrants from Guatemala? Illegal immigrants are not a US-specific issue.
Walls work, it's not a stupid idea. There's roughly 500,000 people who cross the Mexico/USA border illegally every year (excluding drug mules), this is not a problem that will be resolved with change.org petitions or Facebook pages. Let Trump build this wall; if there's a consensus in the population to let more unskilled, poor immigrants in, it should be done the right way, not by turning a blind eye on human trafficking and all the horrible side effects of illegal immigration.
I hardly ever make calls, and I have a desktop PC so I could care less about what most people use their phone for. The local telco finally removed 2G and some 3G support forcing me to look for a new handset...I guess I'm a ludite.
You're not alone. I don't make calls either, I keep the ringer off and I use the "Mr Number" app (free) to block pretty much anyone I don't know.
I'm not really a power user of my phone, I mostly use Google Keep and the maps. But just for those times when I need to check something in my emails or take a quick picture of the license plate of some fucker who inconvenienced me in a parking lot (for future retaliation), it's worth the $45 monthly price.
First president in history who didn't sell out to lobbies or Washington cronies. He's not even in office yet and already he's making America Great Again just because of that.
What? Are you on the purple crack again? He's not even in office yet and already he's putting the people at the bottom of the swamp in his cabinet.
I know that cabinet-bashing is the latest liberal propaganda, but actually his cabinet is not that bad. According to Wikipedia, CNN said that his cabinet is "a conservative dream team of domestic Cabinet appointments". Based on his vision of focusing on rebuilding roads and schools, that makes sense.
If you wanted a liberal cabinet that enjoys meddling in other countries affairs, you should have gotten Clinton elected. That's how it works.
I could have gone with "slow but constant decline in market share, innovation, quality and brand prestige" but I figured that freefall covered all that.
American people are totally fed up with the 2-party system that puts the same types into power
I don't think people are fed up with the 2-party system. I don't think they are fed up with anything in particular except maybe having a federal government that is too expensive, too invasive and not in tune with their views on sensitive topics. It would probably solve a lot of problems if the federal government was just minding its own business: building roads, protecting the border, running the post office. When they get into stuff like gun control or health care they are bound to make at least half the country unhappy. Leave those issues to individual states, where there's a more cohesive view.
I'm not "Appke-Hating", I merely point out things that make no sense. If you're unhappy because your emperor has no clothes, choose another emperor, don't blame the whistleblower.
Clinton ran a campaign based on "I'm not Trump". That was her entire platform, and it wasn't enough to be elected. That says a lot about her.
Yes, but it says nothing whatsoever about Trump.
Trump became President on his own. First president in history who didn't sell out to lobbies or Washington cronies. He's not even in office yet and already he's making America Great Again just because of that.
You mean he only caved to the lobbies after he became elected? Or that he already was one of them to begin with? Because fuck - look at his cabinet. 3 guys from Goldman Sachs alone. Wasn't the worst thing about Hillary (apart from Pizzagate maybe) that she once gave paid speeches in front of Goldman Sachs?
It's hard to pinpoint the worst thing about Hilary. Maybe it's the fact that after denouncing it as a First Lady, she suddenly voted in favor of a law that makes child support a lower priority debt when someone declares bankruptcy - that happened once she started getting funding from bankers. Maybe it's the Travelgate. Maybe it's the time she stole furniture from the White House and only gave things back once her husband was offered higher quality furniture by a crooked banker who wanted to buy a presidential pardon. There's many options here.
Well, I'm sure the Vietnamese slaves who work in Samsung sweatshops for $1/hour will send you some of their money because you speak out on Samsung's behalf.
Discussing the crooked business practices of Apple is not the same as "speaking out on behalf of Samsung".
In your case it is. Do they pay well?
Do you high-five yourself when you post this kind of childish reply? If you're not interested in having grown-up discussions why are you wasting your time here?

What an awful president. Good riddance.

Yes, my little piggies, soon I'll know EVERYTHING about you!

So what? His wife is ugly and his house is small. The guy is not even enjoying his billions.

So often, the straight man is the person writing the lines for all of the "funny people"
Larry David was the one writing the funny lines. All Seinfeld did in that show was the lame stand up bits and being boring in general.
You have to tell me the cough syrup brand.
Try the cherry-flavored one from Safeway (home brand). It just says "Cold & flu" on the bottle and it tastes like melted/sludgy cherry kool-aid.
Jabba the Hut is the new President of the US.
It was either that or Emperor Palpatine.
First president in history who didn't sell out to lobbies or Washington cronies. He's not even in office yet and already he's making America Great Again just because of that.

The media finds that "Apple phone workers mistreated" gets a lot more eyeballs than "Motorola phone workers mistreated".
Maybe it's because Motorola workers are not mistreated. Lenovo has an excellent track record in that regard, unlike Apple.
