Yeah, and if blizzard ever releases a Linux version, everyone will suddently forget their so called principles and tell everyone to buy the game so blizz (and everyone else) makes more games for linux.
Shouldnt it be called a cracking contest? If yes, then this is really a moronic contest... unless I'm really mistaken and the goal of the contest was to hack together a better web server? =)
How do you calculate the impact of the bills on the global economy?
How come you didnt anticipate that, for exemple, the DMCA could be used to shut down legitimate project that greatly benefit the population? (see for exemple the DMCA used by Sony to shut down the tinkering done to the AIBO, even though Sony realised that tinkering with their Aibo was a good thing and are now pushing it forward).
It is not in their best interest to get it working either, if people want The Sims for linux so badly, they will have to buy the mandrake package, the more packages that get sold, the more money mandrake and transgaming get. Why fix it if it gets them to sell less copies?
If you want action packed gameplay with tons and tons of monsters, I suggest you check Serious Sam from croteam (www.croteam.com). It plays almost exactly like doom, with a recent graphical engine (serious engine;)... it even has Coop play!
About the shift to an horror style game, I trust Id software on this. I know they will make a great game, and it should be released for linux at the same time as the Mac/Windows versions. =)
The game is more of a remake of the original doom, and guess what? Thats the exact Doom story. Doom is the classic, and over time, people begin to think that the classics are unoriginal... Half-life was the one that ripped the doom and quake background story and tried to make a game with an actual story out of this... while in doom and quake, you had to read the readme.txt file to know the story. =)
The "I agree" button does not in any way bind you to that "contract", you would need to sign it or something. Think of it, if you buy a car, and the contract has a big red button on it. Would pressing it bind you to the contract? Who can prove that you are the one that actualy pressed it? You need to be two (or more) to sign a contract. If the company and/or you didnt actualy sign it, it wont hold in court.
Also, you could lie and pretend you agreed... then breach the "contract". Companies keep lying to us, so it would just be fair to lie back to them.
You use Ad-aware because you chose to. Also, Ad-aware has a backup feature that lets you backup whats removed, and if it breaks something, you can put it back in later. It's not similar to Radlight at all.
About the structural integrity, I'd say you'd just need to build carefully. Though, it would be possible to make blocks that can support more weight for the supporting walls/pillars in the house. The only real problem with this would be the roof. It must not allow water to pass through.
Yeah, simple, I like my browser to do what its name implies, allow me to browse the web. I want it to be as fast and efficient as possible (thats why I like Mozilla and opera better than NS 6 and IE). All those links and stuff would only be in the way, and make the browser less efficient.
Of course, it may not be the concern of AOLers, but if I was one (I dont see that happening anytime soon =) I'd stay away from a browser that would keep telling me I should buy stuff from AOL.
Though, the positive thing that could come out of it, is that an AOL browser for linux/other OS would be possible.
It all comes down to marketing and features. If Mozilla is (and I believe it is) so much more powerful and easier to use than previous AOL browsers and AOL promote it a lot, most AOLers will switch to AOzilla.
The problem lies in the fact it will probably be bloated to death with links to AOL and stuff, just like what happened to NS 6.x...
Well, in hot countries near the equator where you have no cold winter, you could build a house entirely out of those block without the need for insulation. It would make it VERY easy to pass those extra Cat-5 cables through the house too.:)
And when youre bored, you can modify your house with little problems. You just need a clean, non-rainy day.:)
It's not a tent, but close enough to be carriable too.
I will live in a house completly made out of lego blocks, fully automated and linked to my computer for additionnal control. I'll even have a lego dog running around. Yeah!
Whats the point? An old P100 with a big HD and a gravis gamepad as the controller would do the same thing. And if you want to go overkill, buy a cordless mouse or keyboard. There, your MP3 box for, well, almost free!
Because you can remove them from the system without getting an annoying "those file are system file and must not be removed" message? You dont have to deny system read/write rights to the folder to prevent its "regeneration", unlike a certain outlook express and netmeeting under 2k/xp...

I must say I'm really looking forward to get that AmVidia GeHammer ClawForce 4 and the GeSledge StrongHammer 256 complete solutions. Finaly a completly built in solution that has EVERYTHING on board. No need for those annoying 3rd party motherboards or CPU, I can enjoy everything in one product! If it breaks, trash it, and buy a new one!
They will probably end up using it as marketing. This user like that and that user like that. See, Macs are good, tons of people like them. Quoting happy users is much more convincing to the clueless buyer than saying "we have the best product".
Say, I need to log in from different stations, do I have to carry my password on a floppy/cd/whatever? What if someone steals my storing device? How do you log using an image via telnet? =)
Things sounds strangely like the old religious practice where they would hang/burn/etc scientists for saying the earth was round, that the earth wasn't the center of the universe, etc. Are the megacorporations doing a giant leap back to our barbaric past?

Sadly, transgaming is in for the money.

You can also check:

more from gamespot
And get the Doom 3 legacy movie from here:
3d gamers
It doesnt have much footage from Doom 3, but it got interviews with some people from Id Software.
All links graciously ripped off: Voodoo Extreme.

I didnt mention B because I havent used IE based AOL browser, so I cant comment about it.
Missing something? Maybe,I havent said anything about B.
