This sort of thing is my exact issue with Wikipedia. They constantly are attempting to delete articles with "non-notable" information, but which may educate, while articles which have no relevance or purpose thrive. Articles on real people, who have done notable things, are constantly disputed while (stealing SomethingAwful's thunder here) the article on Knuckles the Echidna is longer than the article on Kofi Annan. Where do these people get off deciding what we will remember, and why is it all useless information?
Oh, yeah, like people actively look for DRM'd products to buy.
"Well, honey, I was going to get you that CD you wanted for your birthday, but then I realized you can copy it or transfer ownership of it, so I got you this other one instead. Sorry, sweetie."
In that case, it would be outside any legal jurisdiction, and it would be legal to hack into it and take any data present. Same as international waters, where "pirates" still roam today.
...They went with the 128MB version of the x800GTO. On Newegg.com you can get the 256MB version for $87, though to be fair it is third party. Strangely enough, I can't find an AGP equivalent for under $125.
I'm currently using the 256MB AGP version because I'm extremely cheap (and don't want to reinstall Windows -again- when I get a new motherboard), and I can attest to how greatly it performs.
Probably kids (or people with the mentality of a child) playing pranks. I know when I was 15 I would have thought doing something like that was hilarious.
Personally, I've hated PDF files from the day I encountered one. The format is bloated, wasteful, and for the most part, unnecessary. In my opinion, a standardized HTML archive format would be much more useful (smaller and faster, too) than a largely proprietary format. With news like this, maybe PDF will finally die and leave me alone.
Surprisingly, I actually see quite a few errors on the various BBC news pages. Even worse is when I don't know if it's an error or just the British spelling of the word.
The Hogle Zoo here in Utah had a lot of machines that were still operative up until 2 or 3 years ago, when much of the zoo was renovated. Nobody really has a clue what happened to the machines. It's sad to see something that brought us so many childhood memories thrown away because they were "old".
At least he died doing what he loved.

He probably wouldn't have done anything if this hadn't killed him instantly. I used to watch the Crocodile Hunter all the time, and Steve always shrugged everything off. Once he was leaning his head out of a moving car and had his ear torn nearly off by a tree. Steve slapped it back in place and continued with the show. What a great guy.
If animals had the capability to capture and experiment on people, I'm sure they would show us no more mercy than we show them. Animals, in order to survive, continuously brutalize, murder, and devour other living organisms. Many animals prefer to eat their prey live. What makes this any different than what they do? I'll admit I think it's wrong for animals to be tortured, but I will not under any circumstances concede that we have a moral obligation not to experiment on animals.
From Wikipedia:
"1995 - President Bill Clinton signs into law the Dickey Amendment which makes it illegal for Federal money to be used for research where stem cells are derived from the destruction of the embryo."
There are currently 61 (I believe) stem cell lines which are eligible for Govt. funding. only about 11 of these are worth a damn, and their worth is quickly drying up.
I understand your position, probably not having watched Colbert's program. Stephen Colbert is a comedian, who takes on the guise of a hardline political conservative in order to mock these very same people. Being "ignorant" of Hungary is the exact type of humor Colbert would use himself. The submitter is obviously well aware of where Hungary is located, and is not of the percieved typical American attitude. In fact, as an educated American myself, I almost find your opinion of us insulting (but not quite). Don't take this post the wrong way, I'm simply trying to fill you in on information many people outside the US may not have access to.
If Google stipulated "you need to fix your code before we'll work with you." They could even make the excuse that they need clean code in order to execute their search features. Think of it: a Myspace that works once in a while!
Don't buy the music through the iTunes store. It's really that simple. Buy it from another service, buy the physical CD, even pirate it, whatever. You don't have the right to complain about DRM if you buy products that implement it when so many other services are available.
Do remember that genes often do the same thing in different species. This is why genetically altered crops (I.E. tomatoes with fish genes) work. DNA is universal, it is the order in which it is structured that makes organisms what they are.
Spyware is like someone opening your unlocked back door and dumping a piss-stained couch in your front room. You have to call over one of your buddies to help you lift the couch, but the smell just doesn't go away. Worse, sometimes their stoner friend Jeff crashes on the couch and starts eating all your food without permission.

Maybe it's not illegal to be a member of Al Qaeda, but it's certainly been enough in the past.

What moron moderated this insightful?

Cows would still probably be grown for leather, unless an effective way to grow cow skin in huge sheets can be devised.
If this upsets you, I'd recommend never reading Engadget. Yesterday they had a story about a guy who built a hotplate needing 30 USB connections.

"God made me do it."
While it was true before, I'd like to let them know that I will never make use of their services again.

Now the RIAA is hiring Boy Scouts to strongarm citizens? Shameful!
