It's not really at an unfair advantage. Every facebook game does that. Farmville might seem the worst just because so many people play it, but I don't think it actually sends more notifications than any other app. Mafia Wars is at least as bad.
A company I used to work for used co-pilot as a backup to VNC. Several of our client's ISPs enjoyed randomly giving them new IP addresses even though they were all supposed to be static. That killed our VPN tunnels so we couldn't use VNC and would use co-pilot as a backup to re-build the tunnels. We would also use it to install VNC on new PCs or anytime VNC didn't work for some reason.
I used to do something like this, but as companies buy each other out, rebrand parts of themselves and other such shenanigans the website name and URL tend to change. This can get confusing.
If this is really put into use I guarantee you that pranksters will be doing exactly that. They don't even care about the Profit!!!! They'll do it just for the lulz.
I always wanted to grab that one. It's gotten expensive new ($99.94 at amazon), I guess because they didn't make that many. Still, it sold well enough that they're making a sequel.
Everyone grieves in their own way and in their own time. For some a constant reminder of their loved ones is a good thing, for some it is bad. It depends on the person.
Most publishers are evil, but there are a few exceptions. Stardock is probably the most notable, but Valve is pretty good with Steam. Oddly enough, they run the 2 largest digital distribution platforms. Blizzard used to be in the generally good category, but I doubt they will stay in that category since they sold out.
On a side note, if you want unparralleled input on the development of a new game pre-order Elemental from Stardock and jump in on the beta. It's a multi-phase beta and they are just barely beyond the point where they make sure it doesn't fry your PC. You can actually join the forums even if you aren't in the beta and contribute that way as well. There is currently a spirited discussion on how resources will be accounted for. Right now it ranges from "If you have Iron you can build stuff that requires Iron anywhere" to "Iron from your mines is stored in the city the mine is built in and must be transported to other cities using caravans. Individual equipment can require specific amounts of Iron." It's really interesting seeing these decisions be made.
As a Christian I have no doubts of the truth of that story. I've seen equally bad treatment of divorcees and unwed mothers. I've learned to find this oddly comforting. It reinforces the old idea that Christians aren't perfect, just forgiven. I'd take it a little farther and point out that we can often be as bad and worse than any non-Christian. We should be better than we were in the past of course, but when it comes down to actual salvation, it's not that important. It's still sad to see people act like that though, and the error in doing show really should be called out.
This might have some use in biometrics and identifying people who have already been scanned. It doesn't seem like it could be that useful forensically since prints are left on 2D surfaces.
While I suspect you are right, it is possible to want to censor something for reasons other than wanting to impose religious morals.
We are actually going slightly overboard in calling this censorship. It's a game ratings issue that interacts with other laws to amount to censorship. If they just added another more "adult" game rating everything would be fine. Do you consider game and movie ratings to be a result of religious morals?
And cupholders! She needs someplace to put her drinks while she hammers bad guys into the ground with her hydraulic piston arms.

There are several more traditional geek options. You can donate your brain to the Harvard Brain Tissue Resource Center and get their cool "I'm going to Harvard!" card. Plastination is a pretty interesting option as well. There's also the more generic "donate to science" option, which usually means you get to help train the next doctors going through Gross Anatomy. I have to recommend the book "Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers" for more information. It's really a hilarious read and very educational.
That's about the same amount of science that the real science courses teach you in high school. It is pretty ballsy of them to put science right their in the course name though.
The problem is that crippling it will cost more than just using it as-is. Why in the world should it matter if the device has non-medical uses if a medical-use only device costs more?
But does it make sense to pay for a device 10-20 times more expensive that is also more cumbersome and has less capabilities? Look at the big picture. Is it so terrible that a device might have a potential non-medical use?
You didn't have to be insulting about that at the end, nor quite so blunt in the beginning.
I would simply point out that the skepticism needs to extend to accepting mainstream media's portrayal of rabid Right-Wing Evangelical Fundies as representing most Christians. Indeed, it's never wise to accept mainstream media's portrayal of any group. They will always show the most bizarre and "newsworthy", even though most members of any group are not the least bit newsworthy.
Although I agree with your analysis I'm not certain that I agree the effects of filesharing are negative for artists or even for the music industry. Some artists have run some of the numbers and don't mind. They make more money from concerts so wide exposure is highly beneficial. The music industry is more likely to be harmed, but even that isn't certain.
What if the game manufacturer wants to support multiple platforms? Exclusive titles are becoming significantly less common and I'm sure the developers would love to have enough control to handle all platforms from the same servers.
It's mostly a bit of 2-4 wrapped in a fancy GUI.
Here's some action packed screenshots of the tool in action. See page 2 for action packed screenshots of doing it from the command line instead.

Nothing that gives you an excuse to buy another PC is bad.

They're interior decorators so it looks great on the inside. If they can meet up with a race of landscape designers everything will be beautiful.

Allegiance rests firmly in the category of games I must never, ever try for fear of losing my life to it. It sounds like a really awesome game.

That will definitely add a whole new twist to the concept of being the black sheep in the family.

Or perhaps children's and adult's fantasy worlds are not really that different.
If the opportunity presents itself you might want to jump on it.
