That depends on a lot. If you include costs then owning and parking a car in a lot of cities that have good public transport infrastructure doesn't make sense. The cost of a parking space could exceed that of many long taxi journeys and hiring a car for a holiday. Add to that the cost of car purchase and maintenance and not owning a car could well be a better option.
Many fell for a scam before they went. Taking a loan to get a degree in some subject that won't add in any way to either their earnings potential or enjoyment of their work.

Works out at around £10,000 for which you could get a safer 4-seated Citroen C1, Hyundai i10, Kia Picanto, small cars or the slightly larger Dacha Sandero and have some change! All of the above are motorway-capable too. I've probably missed a few
