What some people fail to realise is that a lot of immigrants are of benefit. Skilled professionals from India, laborers from Eastern Europe are all good. And when the Muslims rise up against us they will be on our side, so the more the better
If I am going to succeed or fail in school it should NOT be based on the morons the teacher groups me with, but on my own capabilities.
In my memory of my school years, group work inevitably devolved into the rest of the group chatting among themselves while I did the work anyway.
I'm an introvert (INTP) and I actually enjoyed group work in small groups, when we could choose our own group. We had a guy that could calculate anything accurately and quickly (pre calculator), a guy that could build any experimental rig accurately, and a couple who could work out what needed calculating and building. Oh and a guy who thought up fun variations... like "now lets try it with twice as much Sodium and boiling water".
Yes, it has been confirmed. All current VW models in the US do now use urea injection, by the way.
Why the hangup over this particular emissions control technique?
From what I have read in Europe at least there is a perceived consumer resistance to urea injection, as it is seen as "something else that needs to be bought and paid for". It looks like in practice its not a big issue, with it costing under 1% of the fuel costs and only needing filling every 10,000 miles. Hell, in my younger days I needed a new set of tyres every 10,000 miles - though my driving has settled down a bit since then!
Once TTIP is in you'll be fine - they will be able to import VWs because they met the European spec. Juts the same as Europe will have to take cars which meet the US crash test criteria but will fail theirs
People and companies that do this sort of predatory business are truly Scum of the Earth.
Yes, the first thing that occurred to me when I read this is "Surely to step so low this must be run by a Muslim". Sure enough the executive chairman is an Albanian, and Albania ia a Muslim majority country
If I'm accessing an https website in India that would mean that I would have to copy everything I typed in and save it for 90 days. That's every web search, amazon review, etc.
And that boys and girls is another example of why you should NEVER trust Microsoft or governments.
I would be interested to see (if not classified) what the Nato recommended settings for Windows are. I have just taken the "free Windows 10" upgrade and took the "detailed" rather than the "quick settings" options and was amazed at the number of different data collection options I had to turn off. I say "had to", the truth is it probably doesn't matter, I dual boot and use Windowsa two or three time a year to run things like the update for my satnav
So would building a bomb in a basement be an expression of free speech? After all it could be fundamentally saying "I think XXX should be blown up"! The Muslims will be pleased.
So now even Slashdot lazily swallows and unquestioningly regurgitates a smear against Labour?
True,
What we have is a "noncommittal answer"... not a surprising thing in a day old cabinet when policies have not been determined. And its not as if any other party has announced a policy that homeopathy is unscientific and won't be funded. As others have pointed out it may not even make sense to do so, as homeopathy is a cheap placebo... and if that avoids more expensive treatments for some people then that has to be good.
I think that google are correct in that you cannot expect a driver to be fully alert on a long trip all the time. On the other hand a car that could handle the autobahn, but not other roads (which could have pedestrians, horses, or even marching bands!) would be fine as long as it gave a "count down" of warnings as it approached the exit, and the driver knew that they would have to take over once they reached the slip road.
Even here there should be some sort of fail-safe behaviour, if the driver does not acknowledge taking control the car should park up, and possibly phone teh emergency services (at some point someone will have a heart attack while being driven in an autonomous car).
.. because if it was honest, we saw pictures of them from Dimona from Whistleblower Vanunu Mordechai quite a long time ago, the US would have to stop Providing the military assistance (ie, US taxpayers pay US war profiteers for weapons going to Israel) and the power elite enriching themselves is what everything is about.
Being honest Profitable.
Logically wouldn't it make sense to provide enough support so that Israel would have strong enough conventional defense not to have to use the nuclear option?
I'll lay money that these four students follow the "religion pf peace"

Gods, how I hated that crap.

I can just see the extrovert teacher saying: No problem with introverts here! I've never heard them complaining.
Aren't nanoparticles toxic?
Absolutely, just like chemicals are ;-)
This really is an achievement to be proud of.
Give it up Snowden, nobody's listening .... oh wait!

Nope. The urea-injected models are also subject to the software cheat.
Has this been confirmed yet or is this just speculation?
Volkswagen own Audi and Porsche?
Oh my!
From a car maker that's easier to spell?
I guess that rules out a SsangYong then!
If you get attacked by a shark take a selfie. That way your chance of death will be lower.

Well my mum still calls a vacuum cleaner a hoover. That isn't worthy of a slashdot article either
Not the first time the US thought an enemy had WMDs but didn't, huh?
Hitler certainly had WMDs, just not nuclear

Since it's owned by Jonathan Harmsworth, 4th Viscount Rothermere via DMG Media it's not surprising that it has a right wing bias.

Great idea.... now if the launches went wrong and just happened to drop the devices over Syria, Iran, Lybia, UAE, and Pakistan ..
She had an inter-office love affair with someone higher up in the foodchain and shit went south....and somehow this is a gender issue??
Yes, the guy should have had the decency to have a gay affair with a bloke in the office afterwards and drop him from email lists too.
