It all depends on the employer or employee. Typically for a trusted employee (regardless of access) if they resign for good enough reasons, that would not happen. The 2 weeks allows for transition time. If it is a competitor, they should ALWAYS me terminated right away. Also, if an employees reasons are not good (i.e. they hate their pay, manager, or job), then they should be terminated right away as well. Being able to let an important person go right away due to the risk of leaving them on for two weeks is a difficult professional decition to make. Some times people are left on without due diligance, and as you said, IP is stolen.
You see, this is not at all about AOL, it is about Google. Both companies see Google as a big competitor, and Google has already shown interest in the IM market (although IMHO, the launch was a failure). Yahoo has nothing to lose by teaming up. In fact, they may have everything to lose if they do not.
It's not just the excersise, it saves lives. Computer systems around the globe would crash if IT Admins and developers didn't fuel themselves with coffee. Alertness during a crisis situation can be the difference between life and death, or the financial destruction of a company.
Thank you coffee, and thank you Tim Horton.
It's interesting that books on Perl 6 are released when the Perl 6 is still in development. I understand modules for Perl 5 exist that can utlize some Perl 6 features, but still...
Someone should release a book on Windows Vista now that a beta is out.
That is a very good reason. I've had to disabled the ability for IE to launch when I configured my girlfriends post spyware infected computer to run only Firefox. She loves it, and has migrated nicely.
Others I've migrated without forcing IE not to open, managed to get into IE even though they didn't ask for it. This is because it seems products like MSN auto execute IE for things like hotmail. Microsoft makes it very difficult to switch browsers without effort.
My advice. Everyone has friends that ask to save their PC when it is riddled with spyware. Tell them it's mostly because of the browser (and clicking accept to box's), and they'll have no issue with you forcing a switch.
You guys are funny. The reason why Microsoft has a big linux lab is to get ideas on what to steal. They want to know what their competition is, break it apart in a lab, and attempt to emulate it. This is why Windows XP has better graphics that are basically a poor implementation of the KDE shnazz. Microsoft rarely innovates, they copy poorly and sell it like it's the best 'microsoft idea'.

No, the X means 10, as in the roman numeral.
:\
9700
9800
10800 = X800
So 11000 = X1000
I wonder if the next release will be XV800 for the 14800

All bow to lord Zotob and master Mytob!
That's all find and dandy, but when is the torrent release date? :D
Want to know the best way to use objects in PHP?
use Perl;
*ducks*
I'll issue a patch next the first Tuesday of next month.
Not if mc = 2!!
#!/usr/bin/perl my $e = (mc * 2); print "$e";
Does this mean I'm going to get charged with murder for killing someone in Battlefield 2? Or would those be war crimes?
So you're saying Sobig wasn't so big. Does this mean Zotob should be renamed to W32.Sobigger?

So it's decided then. The Google exec should move to Canada and work from here.
