    Exactly,

im still fairly young (mid 20's) and I'm a sysadmin. My tips for getting in to my situation are :-
-Apply for jobs in smaller companies
-Do the support roles in your early years
-Learn anout your job in your spare time
    -Never stop learning.

In time you'll have the know how to go and command any job you want.

Its also controversial weather you actually need a degree or not. I worked with a degree student in my last job and all he knew was theory. WHen he started he knew what a partition was but didnt have a clue how to partition a hard disk or why you'd even do it in the first place.

Then again i am one of those "taught himeself how to program aged 6" people.

Ive only heard a bit about the carbon nano tubes it could be something to reaserch. One thing confuses me though, You talk about carbon nanotubes being the flywheel to reduce weight. But arent flywheels by design heavy and thus can store more potential energy than something that was light?

  11. Re:Regenerative Brakes on Efficiency? Think Racing Cars, Not Hybrids · · Score: 1

Appologies for deviating from your topic.

I dont believe hybrid cars do any good. If anything i think they do more harm.

The batteries in these cars are lithium. I was taught by the physics nut at work that its highly toxic. The facroties that make these things pump out not just carbon but toxic fumes all day long turning the surrounding area in to a wasteland. It ignites in air and to top it off the fumes given off by burning lithum are explosive. The engines are notoroiusly inefficient when running on petrol. The batteries need to be changed eventually not to mention disposed of (very little of them can be recycled). They Weigh a lot! and to top it all off they dont look that nice and are expensive.

I thought these cars were created to prevent damage to the enviroment but to me it looks the opposite: yet another product to profit on at the expense of peoples good intentions and the enviroment it promised to protect. ... Back on topic ...

I think the flywheel idea is a great idea. It kind of irritates me as I had that idea as a kid while i was playing with my toy cars that had flywheels in... The downside is... you have a heavy metal disk spinning very fast not very far away from you and even closer to the person that you hit in that accident. thatll only spin faster when you try and prevent said accident.

Dont forget that until a while ago they didnt own macromedia and their neiche was high quality still and moving images which back in the day of windows 3.0 wasn't anywhere near web software.

Your arguement is essentially flawed as this exploit has probably been in flash player since macromedia owned it and yet your blame gets directed at adobe.

They took the open moko device and rebranded it as their own which was fair and legal. What they didnt do was make the source code available for those modifications which is required under section 3 of the GPL. They then packeged their item with a link to the source code but that didnt meet the terms of the license as only people with an internet connection can access it (its a skype device so wouldnt they have an internet conenction to A. Order one and B. Use it) They then claimed the GPL license violated anti-trust yesterday before giving up today.

As for how it was discovered i'm not sure. Im guessing that as they complied with the rest of the agreement they left the copyright notice in.
