Wouldn't co-op and training defeat the purpose of being self-taught? I think it could be that men are typically more interested in engineering than women are and so they are more likely to go out of their way to teach themselves.
Living in Detroit and knowing about the Detroit Public Schools I'd have to agree. The problem with Detroit schools are that they are a bureaucratic mess. The schools focus on the jobs of the administration rather than the teaching of children. Even tommarrow they just announced that instead of the traditional half-day off before Thanksgiving they are having a full day and I'm not even sure why. The teachers in Detroit are worried about their jobs so they just pass almost any person that shows up to their class. If the burocracy is eleminated then the children will have a better chance of graduating and heading to college then droping or bearly graduating and going straight into the workforce.
MMOG's failure is anything that caps what the player can do. WOW is a great game but capping it at level 60 will stunt its growth since players will reach there then stop.
I was channel surfing and just to my surprize when I turned to MSNBC it had 15 seconds to launch. Fastest launch ever I do believe. They said that about 45 minutes after launch that it would jettison the main rocket and would be free sailing toward Jupiter and use Jupiter's gravity to slingshot it's self to pluto.
What is sad to me is that agriculture is shrinking at the same time the demand for food world-wide is increasing.
