See with doom you knew that it was going to be scary or at least attempt to be. The same could be said of F.E.A.R. Far Cry scared the hell out of me because I didn't expect the way the game changes from shooting guys with guns to running from mutated primates. One minute I'm blowing guys a way and the next these damn creatures come out of no where. I do agree that for total emersion you need your head phones on cranked up in a dark room.
So, what about suing Nintendo? I don't remember a health warning back in the mid 80's saying this could cause carpal tunnel syndrome. Seriously, though that hurts my hands worse than anything trying to use older style controllers.
Users will most likely download useless applications (ex. apps that check weather, screensavers) no matter how many times they are told not to. I mean from where they get this you would think they could tell this stuff screams adware. Then when ask did you download anything on you computer before it started to have this problem, the answer is always no. Until of course you have to personally go down and fix the computer and they have to explain why this program was installed.
Apple vs. Microsoft Game Gear vs. Gameboy PSP vs. Nintendo DS The common denominator is the price difference. The fact that a product is far superior doesn't mean that it will sell better. People will usually go with a lower cost alternative. And often if they can afford the more expensive product they end up buying the cheaper one also.
I agree I would love to be able to preorder a Revolution. Great graphics and photo-realism have gotten the gaming industry where it is today but I believe that graphics will be a much smaller reason to buy the next generation of consoles. Not saying they wont be spectacular but that the industry took a large step in quality between the N64 PS1 generation to the Xbox PS2 generation it would be hard to top that increase in overall quality. HD-TV is one thing but that is representative of a small portion of the gaming industry.
Are they offering this deal for only the Dimension E510n? Why not offer the option of no OS for all their machines? Seems like that would be the easiest solution for people not wanting windows preinstalled. It took me a while to find the Open-Source Desktops link on the dell site.
Funny you should say that one of my teammates is home based in Hawaii probably doing those very things.

Just think though with both the Wii-mote and the Knunchuk being motion sensitive you could easily wield dual sabers.
... in an online fantasy game. We where thinking of having children but that would have severely drained my power crystals.
World of Warcraft Tops 5,000,002 Subscribers no wait 5,000,003...4...5 oh wait who cares.

Can I pay for this with invisible money?

Thoursands of players will be gunned down while gazing at a playboy billboard.
