I already fill my functionality needs with RHEL and CentOS but it would be nice if this release of ubuntu could perform the same tasks (plus comercial support) and on top of that "looks good" and is easy to use. This will surely raise the bar even higher than already set by Fedora5.
I cant wait to see what wmf like features this one has. If it doesnt have at least one vulnerability (buffer overflow, embeded executable code....) I refuse to use it.
well the internet is as strong as the weakest link, and guess what OS that link is.. None of those attacks (DOS) could have been done without the use of thousands of zombie machines. I guess the only way of stoping the attakers is by taking their weapons (zombies) from them and thats left as an excersise for the survivors.
This is not the fault of the format. ODF represents a way of storing the information and not a way of input of such information. It should be transparent if a document was writen by hand or speech recognition for example, the resulting document should be the same.
It seems that phishing is evolving but they are getting forced to use more risky (for the phisher) methods. A phone number feels more physical than a web presence so it should be easier to track besides this has to be breaking some "dont screw around with the phone" federal law.
Oracle dominated its list of 175 large databases. For the first time, databases running on Linux appeared on WinterCorp's list -- and all of them came from Oracle.
You cant ignore other players like sybase. Their database with RAW devides on linux provides very good performance and is very easy to use and set up. But what really surprises me is that DB2 and informix are missing from the list. I cant vouch for DB2 on linux but a well tunned Informix IDS10 instance on linux will beat Oracle anytime. IBM R&D on the optimizer has made DB2 and Informix the best performers.
She is giving an interview about how people do many things at once and how thats "bad" because you cant focus but at the end of TFA
... during our conversation, some auditory clues led me to ask her one more question. "Linda," I asked, "are you taking this interview while driving your car?" She admitted that she was. But as long as she didn't have to slam the brakes or dodge a pedestrian, I had her continuous partial attention.
Apple has an issue about their OS being hacked but now their official product is compared against a hacked version that performs equeally or better. This is gonna get insteresting as some people stated there was no real reason to hack it besides curiosity but I think PERFORMANCE is a good reason to try it.
ok so you get rid of 1 or 2 fans but you better have good air flow on your case to keep it cool. This PSU seems to run hotter due to it's passive cooling so the case will be hotter, what will make your themally controlled fans run faster, and the result willl be a noisy tower during heavy use. So if you want to make your beast a little quieter those $150 can be spent somewhere else. That and the constant fear that it will overheat and turn off on the worst posible moment. But this PSU, a fanless video card and an old CPU would make a nice quiet PC for the living room.
Maybe some kind of/. mod system can be used to aprove edits. The edit wont be added until some score is reached. If the edit is declined then you can extract keywords from that edit and use them to lower the score for future similar edits automaticly ala lame filter.
There's a difference. Bubbles are inflated with hot air and speculation. They end with a wet pop, leaving behind messy splatters. Booms, on the other hand,..
Speaking at a Microsoft event in Singapore, Mr Ballmer said: "Bill Gates (is first) because he is Bill Gates. Bill literally receives four million pieces of e-mail per day, most of it spam."
"Literally there's a whole department almost that takes care of it," he said.
Mr Ballmer said he was "probably also amongst the most spammed people in the world", because he gives out his email address whenever he makes a speech.
But he said only about 10 e-mails a day made it through to his inbox, because of anti-spam technology that filters the messages.
So the solution is to get rid of my current spamassasing set up and devote a department to spam filtering. Good to know.
Just confirming the validity of the method: global warming vs pirates It clearly shows a tendency of global warming raising as pirates disminish
Took 20 minutes to download 288KB and now cant even open it.
I guess this is part of the puzzle...

For a moment I though this was about some kind of "sony-rootkit" fiasco from the MPAA...

Bill Gates was the person with the record of receiving the most spam in the world, like 4 millions of messages daily http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/4023667.stm.
So suspension will stop further damage from ocuring, but the success rate will drop depending on how much damage was already done
We usually call them Lentium. (Lent. from "lento",slow)
