I guess there's a physician with mod points - hence your "Troll" modderation.
What you said is true. I have a family member in medical and they occasionally bitch about a doc. It's so hard to get rid of incompetence in medical, especially if they're making the instition money. Yes folks, medical is a money making enterprise. Including the "Non-Profits".
I have a family member in medical. And they come home sometimes complaining about a Doc's incompetence. I said, "I know you and I can check up on another doc with you. What's the average Joe supposed to do?" Answer: "They're fucked."
I think it's really shitty that the average person can't go and check ratings of healthcare workers and institutions. Believe me, a lot of shit isn't reported. A lot of incompetence is hidden. And unless the AMA starts weeding docs better, the only recourse the average Joe has is to gamble with his health and sue if need be.
had to take a sledgehammer to a hard drive after running a huge magnet over it. He said it was hard! Those things were buit so well at the time. But even then, if the platter itself was still in good condition, I guess someone could still get something off of it. What was on it? Some old code for one their OSes at the time.
You mean, the Press Release. And I ONLY skim press realeases. Even then, but Wall Street is a very small market for this kind of thing. I know of a hedge fund manager that uses commodity Windows boxes for what he does. Thanks for the correction, though.
"We weren't paying attention, we got distracted by all these people with pierced body parts and blue hair," he said. "We missed changes in the marketplace. It's very distracting to grow at 60 percent per quarter and very humbling to have it disappear. We're now paying attention to Wall Street again."

That's simialr to Digital's downfall. They built some of the best computers in the world, thinking if we build it they will come. But it wasn't what the customers wanted. The same goes for catering to Wall Street. They want short term quick earnings growth; not necessarily long term custoemr growth. That may not be be conducive to achieving a product line that will last and the customers will even want.
There is so much these guys can do. I wish we could emulate some of their achievements.
Maybe as time goes on, and our relations improve, we will. Hopefully, ideologies won't get in the way again and I wish the same for other parts of the world and other cultures.
Kumbayha, my lord, Kumbayha... sorry, I was getting kind of sappy there.
You know, I have never heard of that site before and I though you were making a joke. I had to go there thinking I would see something like, "Bill Gates has alien's child!" or "Bill Gates gives all of his money to Linus Torvalds!"
I wish I could do that! Make sure you keep your skills up and up to date!
As for me, I would have begged for the job and brought my own tube of KJ for the interview. For a job, I will drink the MS Kool-Aid. Yes sirree! I have lost my pride and my morals apparently.
Hardly. It'll just be in more devices. And the Palm handheld will just morf. OTOH, I think we may see $20 organizers or cheaper given away with other products. Kind of the way MP3 players are being given away these days.
After a decade of rapid growth, eBay has stagnated. Now, with a $2 billion pile of cash and short-term investments, the San Jose Net auctioneer seems to be looking for some new direction.
It looks like eBay is trying to cash in on the Next Big Thing (TM).

I wonder if they auction them off too?

version that cures sleep disorders for whole groups at a time. Otherwise known as Power Point.

Thanks for the correction. Still, that's a small market.

That went over my head so fast that it took off a few. Thanks!
Then I started thinking about some products that could use that amount of space; until fibre starts getting into everyone's home and office, that is.

that's what I would hit first! Then again, after drinking it, I would be using the toilet paper to clean up the puke - oh, well.
I'm expecting that most of them will have a base flavor of shit.
Ok, I've been spending Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much time on porn sites!
This is an extremely common attitude among people. And they have absolutely no idea as to why that argument is wrong on so many levels.
An independent film maker I know once told me that people:
Don't want to take responsibility for themselves.
Want to be told what to do and how to live
in other words, many people want to be slaves. They just won't call it that. I poo-poo'd it. But now, I' m being to see that maybe he was right.
Except when they come and take your pocketbook with guns. Like these guys.

we had to use a pen on staff paper...in the snow...up hill....both ways....

When Iraq gets their domain back, they can sell names to people like the above. Or people who want .IQ in there domain names.
Ex: smartbrat.IQ
Someone tells you that you have a security hole; you fix it - A.S.A.P!!
Oh Fuck IT!
