plus, when I was in high school, what was the difference between a regular course and an AP course.... more worksheets!!!
is that worth $5000? don't think so. (here in oklahoma, where the teachers are paid close to the lowest in the country, $5000 is a major chunk of a teachers yearly income).
yeah, i'll probably be mod'd troll or whatever, but why is google doing this? (what are their secret motives?)
i rtfa, and all i found was: "Under the terms of the deal, the basic wireless internet access would be free, but Google could charge users fees for premium services."
so why would google spend so much money to provide this with possibly/probably little return?
that would be a lawsuit waiting to happen. MS including a useful tool for free along with their operating system would immediately get the attention of the justice department. they would be forced to split it up.
The parent has got to modded offtopic... LaTeX is not limited to Linux. LaTeX is NOT a reason to switch. I've been using LaTeX on Windows for years, and I love it. The TeXLive system works great on Windows, I have all the tools I need - windvi, pdflatex, ghostscript, bibtex, etc.
NES was great, except for the connector

yeah, so the NES was da bomb, everything from the perfect rectangular controllers to the sexy graphics. But, the connector for the cartridges? the engineer that designed that should be shot and killed. you know how it went... blow on the cartridge, shove it into the NES, push down, hit power, nope, didn't work. so you try a different method... be very gentle, slowly insert the cartridge, slower push down, hit power, still nothing. every person had a different technique. some said to put the cartridge in with the power already on. but when it did work... hell yeah.
you're not the only person to notice that. and that brings up a good question... do we still like google? or are they starting to resemble a large, unstoppable giant? also, slashdot should create a google section to organize all google stories
Great... but why don't they also decrease the price of entry? - they could easily sell the older models at a decrease price. I would love to try a Mac, but they still don't have any try-me prices. (yes, I know there's the mac mini, but from what I've read, I don't consider it to be fully representative of what apple and OSX can offer.)
sorry, but i got to say: duh. none of the major computer manufacturers are going to go out of their way to help you install a product they haven't approved. they're all under some sort of contract with MS. this has been discussed numerous times here before. this is just all a part of the linux experience.... you gotta do it yourself. you can't rely on HP or dell or even the compusa tech people.
so in your opinion, is 4 more false positives worth the increase in true positives?
this is one thing i'm struggling with, is how to compare the results of 2 filters on the same corpus. we know FP's are substantially worse than any spam that gets through, but how much worse?
thank you for pointing that out. no, i did not read the grandparent. usually i just look for an 'Re:' in the title of the post, if not, i assume it's fresh. i will try to be wiser in the future. thank you again.
not to troll, but in the days of terrorism and backpack-sized nuclear bombs, how vital is research in speakers to protect submarines? I don't see submarines as a major player in future battles. I'd much rather see money spent training secret agents in anti-terrorism techniques.
Why isn't there a Google section on the navigation bar on the left? If there's an infrequently updated Apache section, surely Google deserves one as well. It seems like 50% off all stories lately are Google related.
you're joking right? who in their right mind would give their cell number to google....
they'll use their Google Earth technology to locate my cell phone, use their Google Images search technology to find out who I am, then they'll Google ME, they'll use Google Maps to find directions to me, then they'll do experiments on me in Google Labs, then, then,.... profit?

"The move is being supported by a number of organizations including Apple Computer, Barclays Capital, BP, Intel and Toshiba."
Since when is BP included with the likes of Apple and Intel?
Seems strange that BP's opinion matters in this subject.
no way!!!! google is a saint, they have not and never will do any harm...
we hate Microsoft, and love google... right?
but they're still the ghetto blocks that only the ghetto children have,
nothing changing that fact.
right on dude.

ok, I'll take the hit and be the first.

how does it relate to object-oriented programming?

Have you ever really tried to get cell phone service?
Don't they use your SSN to check your credit rating?
I doubt a fake SSN will get you very far...
sarcasm follows...

by admitting that this is basically a dupe,
is this some sort of a preemptive strike against dupe comments?
hmmm... well, it looks like the overwhelming majority think this power toys blows.
(it is an MS product afterall).
it's worked fine for me,
but maybe this weeked i'll give virtuawin a try and see what i've been missing.
MS already has a power toy for multiple desktops.
r toys/xppowertoys.mspx
I've been using it for awhile, it works pretty well.
