So long as you have to also sign up to receive a binary its ok to have to sigh up to receive the source. Ofcourse you cant moan if someone signs up, downloads and then redistributes the source, so ultimately the cat will be let out of the bag.
I suspect people think that the rocket launcher gets more crits than other weapons because the brightly coloured Rocket O Doom(tm) makes it very obvious its a crit, unlike other weapons where a crit is less noticeable.
I could never get the sensitivity to something I liked, I think it was because it applied some kind of console-style acceleration to the mouse so you got slow to start with then speeded up the further you turned.
But portable devices like mp3 because you can get hardware decoders, and IIRC ogg requires more processing to decode than mp3. This equals battery life
I suspect it pulls the location information out of your GPRS signal even if you are using a wifi connection for the data transfer, its probably part of the phones java API.
Suffice to say it didn't work on my phone (The new motorola razor, despite the promise on googles page.)
I see no reason why other browsers should not ask the OS for proxy settings, it can be set from Control panel (internet options) without having to invoke Internet Explorer or Outlook.
They should leave the previous XP level at it is, but rebalance much of the pre TBC endgame content to fit in before the players hit 58. Places like Winterspring and The Plaguelands are dead now, they should balance it so these areas have more use before players hit 58 and head to the Outlands. I suspect the same will happen for the current TBC endgame areas when this new expansion is released.
Those outfits are still around, but really don't have the clout (or as many annoying adverts, I can't remember the last time I saw one) they possessed a few years back. It looks like they are now selling licensed stuff like simpsons crap and are no longer selling themselves as the one and only route onto your phone. I don't know anyone who has brought stuff off them since the annoying amphibian and the hard to cancel text service stunt they pulled.
A couple of weeks back I got a new phone, connected it to my computer via a USB cable and synced some MP3s via windows media player, which I then set as my ringtone, or even choose one per contact. Had I been feeling technical I could have even used audacity to get a nice 30 second sample, and used that . Or if I ran linux I can set the phone to appear as a mass storage device instead of windows media sync and copy them that way (it also has modes to act as a modem and for usb printing). This is the norm in the UK (and most of Europe) these days.
All I can say is that if apple want their iPhone to do well over here its going to have to be nice and open as well as 3G.
It's probably also worth mentioning that Apple are selling iPods worldwide, while the Zune is still USA only IIRC. I guess they didnt want to risk the embarissment/extra cost of launching a flop worldwide.
Nope. Flash video is the only reason we have sites like youtube. Remember before it came along how hard it was faffing around with the windows media and realplayer plugins that never really worked very well. Now everyone* has flash and it just works, its great.
*except linux people ofcourse, but surely they have better things to do than waste time on youtube.

This has got to the be the first time your sacred right to bear arms makes any sense..
Maybe that's because anyone who knows what a regular expression is does not use excel for anything that would require one?

One can also type "wp slashdot" in the address bar to preform a wikipedia search. This is default behaviour for firefox.
Your all wrong, he was just causing trouble
Seeing as that download is the only way people can get it at the moment I fail to see how torrents could be any better...
That would be .su
Then use a real card....

Neville pulled the sword from the sorting hat as Harry did in the chamber of secrets, a feat that all true Gryffindors can perform.
Yes but no DRM means no content, I would rather the BBC did something rather than nothing.
It does. You even get options to specify the character encoding and windows or unix style line breaks.

Trying to read the menu at the side is giving me headaches...
I am pretty sure this does not even work on regular dvds because the area that contains the CSS keys is unwritiable on blank dvds.
Where I am sitting there are 2x WPA (one is mine), 3x WEP and 1 unsecured, so no.
I think he may need a credit card with a billing address in [whereveryouare] before he can use the prepaid card...
