Bah - except you don't... There are many ways to construct a wheel/axle combination that don't require precision tooling... Use of slots rather than holes... Forked branch style notch rests.. etc...
Just like on Fred Flinstone's car, no less.
For that matter, who needs metal to drill holes? Archaeological literature is full of references to "stone drills".
Then again, it is still better than a government run system, as I at least have choices of carriers and coverage.
I'll just keep using the Swedish *evil* government-run *evil* healthcare system that puts an affordable clinic and pharmacy in nearly every borough of Stockholm, thanks.
Who needs a false "choice" amongst "carriers" (= middle-men/profiteers) when I've already got a better deal than any US insurance company ever has given or is ever going to give me?
...I usually give them more data than they want. Poison the cache with random data and let's see how they find out how they match up.
That's kind of how I feel about Facebook photo tagging. Last week I got tagged in 6 photos taken on 3 different continents.
Of course, the date and/or location were wrong for 2 of them, and I was only actually *in* 4 of the photos, which should make things even more interesting.
There are projects that looking back I had wasted a lot of time and effort on that were "just because" type things, as I now get older I look back and realize the folly of youth and wish I had maybe spent that time on something more productive or valuable.
Yes, and if I'd not dropped out of college and spent a decade in radio, I might now be a really good developer, instead of someone who's merely knowledgeable enough about programming to write convincingly about it.

The worst waste of your lifespan is using up major portions of it to second-guess yourself. It's unnecessary to rake yourself over the coals in order to learn from your missteps.
Expecting one's Constitutional rights to be respected by a government-funded entity is in no wise evidence of an "entitlement complex".
I work for an organization whose mission it is to help enable social media freedom while still protecting companies from malware, lawsuits, personal misuse of company online resources, etc. If the university had our controls in place...
<sarcasm>Well, you've certainly relieved any fears I might have had that you weren't a completely disinterested 3rd party...</sarcasm>
Damn, wish I had some mod points right now. :D
Rubber ducky, GI Joes, keyboard... I don't give a damn what he takes in there as long as he's clean when he comes out!
Yeah, sure, I'll play TFTFY, too...
The worst is when you find a short, curly hair in your keyboard that's not your hair color -- or your SO's.
I hear the flavour of the month is boysenberry.
Personally, I'd suspect PCP use if I saw somebody do this...
IOW, "What he's doing doesn't make sense to me; therefore, he must be on drugs." Clever.
Facebook should just switch to writing to /dev/null for the best possible performance...
Now that you mention it, MySQL has had this option for years.
Rand was a yeoman.
She started out as one, yes...
The Poor Laws were concerned with beggars/unemployed—i.e., those who were already in the new system and being failed by it.
Perhaps you're thinking of the Enclosure Acts?

Exactly. In 1983 computers were slow and awkward (might take 15 minutes to boot up, and required special skillz to operate...
My C-64 did not take 15 minutes to start. Not even TRS-80s took quite that long. Nor did it require any leet skillz to find the power button.
That sounds like a great result for the November election, but what do you propose doing about Pakistan?
Try thinking of it as a really, really, really big "Whoooosh!".
That should be þ or þ, but that particular character seems to get filtered out by Slashcode.
I use KDE 3.5 for day-to-day but always install WM as a backup.
Also rocks for VNC sessions.
I am very happy to see someone take up development of Old Reliable again! Huzzah! Thank you!
I'm a pissed-off American, so I'll go with a cheery Track THIS! from a real American hero. :)
I would also say, "Huh?"
Yes, I'm *quite* aware of the history, thanks very much, and I still say "Huh?", a fish-and-bicycles sort of "Huh?" to be more precise.

Always good to check where you've left the bong before answering that unexpected knock at the door.
Well, if he'd turn off AdBlock, he'd be able to see the eDarling and FilipinoCupid ads.
My solution? I logged in and updated "my" personal information. I got nasty,
every bit of the sickest crap I could think of.
They pulled my account within the hour. :-)
You just go right on believing that.

...I can't imagine somebody buying a a big screen TV or even a laptop based solely on online descriptions...
Hate to disappoint you, but I bought my new widescreen TV online about 9 months ago. :)

ahh, but could one not argue that at one point, however short, existed two copies?
So RAID 1 is illegal.
How about your Web browser's cache? Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!

I think we're done here.
