Egyptians, Greek and Romans were using nanotechnology to dye their hair several thousands years ago.
Egyptians, Greek and Romans disappeared several thousands years ago.
Want peace? Xiang is right: noise cancellation is by far the best solution. Then you under-forty guys won't hear the sound anymore, and your gregarious neighbor - who never heard it to begin with - thinks it's (still) working and will relax too: everybody's happy!
Want war? Make the police or other authorities hear it too: record the sound and play it back at a lower pitch! A pitch that IS audible to over forties!
Have fun in court...
This must be an invention of the ASU, the American Streetrobbers Union: apparently too many of 'm have bad eyesight and complained they 'missed opportunities': the iPod's white earbuds aren't visible enough. The iBrella cures that...
The only party that's going to benefit from this is the music INDUSTRY! The Sony's, Warner Brothers, c.s. The mammoth corporations and fat cats that WE, the consumer, MADE mammoth corporations and fat cats. And they still want more! Artists will be the LAST to benefit from this. And the consumer keeps on paying through the nose! For instance by ILLEGAL means: INTIMIDATION. In most EU countries you get stiff fines (like 180) when caught calling handheld and driving at the same time.
In Sweden smoking while driving is also strictly forbidden, afaik. That'll be in the whole EU next.
With those millions of poles and zillions of miles of hanging wires and cables?
Look at Europe to see what your landscape COULD have looked like!
But it's too late now. You should have thought of that before. Digging was too much work, wasn't it? So live with the consequences!
She (77) finally has a cellphone she actually uses (http://www.vodafone.nl/Vodafone/gfx/flash/flash1/ main_global.swf). So she's happy. And consequently I am too. In fact, I am considering one of those for myself too. Don't use the umpteen bells & whistles anyway, so why pay for 'em or schlepp 'm around? They only complicate stuff. Prob is the current "Vodaphone Simply" models may fit a lady's purse, but not my pocket. The next model harvest will probably solve that.
I'll bet that Swiss firm is already under tight surveillance - phone taps, data taps, camera's, directional microphones, bugging; legally and ILlegally - by a dozen law enforcement 'services'. Contact this Swiss firm - in ANY way - and you've earned yourself a lot of attention for years and years!
'They' may not know WHAT you're talking about on that phone, but they'll certainly know WHERE you are! An unbreakable phone conversation stands out like a lighthouse in 'their' tracking systems...
I don't want it! I don't any more energy draining mechanical machines that are subject to wear and tear.
I want solid state!
Flash memory! Or whatever you call it.
No more moving part machines please.
The announcement of the test rocked. But I ain't seen no reports AFTER the fact. Not a peep! Not even on QinetiQ's own website.
So it's probably "back to the drawing board" for those enthusiasts...
But what for? Certainly not for people transit. The time required for safe acceleration and deceleration would negate the benefits of a Mach 10 top speed completely!
It's confirmation of what we all knew: OSX is cool! Waaaay cooler than Vista . . . ;-P

This looks like a honeypot to me. Everybody walking out the door there with one of those phones is immediately on the "terrorists watch"-list.

Let's see how quickly they can retract that unholy idea.
"Now that I have a chance to painlessly dip into the Windows world [...]". Painlessly? ROTFLMAO!!!
