My school did just that somewhat with our registration system. As well as our mail system was Exchange and grew too large, I am assuming disk space was the problem just maintaining. They dumped it for google mail. As far as the registration system, it got hammered at the beginning of every semester with 30K+ people registering. So they dumped it for some People Soft portal type system (????). While the UI is marginally better, I don't find it any more confusing than the home brew stuff, but it seemed to handle the load better at least for this past semester beginning.

I can see nuclear as being one option, but one must weigh nuclear vs solar. The sun has been around for 4.5 or so billions of year, and is about half of it's age before it becomes a red giant where which our planet will be consumed by it. Compared to how many years of nuclear energy can be sustained from building (hundreds ... thousands ????) of nuclear plants, I think the winner by landslide is solar. The Sun not going anywhere that we can foresee for a long time with a relatively endless source of energy respectively. That's my opinion!

I call BS, if ANY candidate's email was hacked, there will be sirens sounded and those persons hunted down. Don't make it a partisan issue. Each candidate should be checked for scrutiny. Digging up dirt is needed sometimes because if we took everything at face value, we will end up with another president like we have now.

Komodo Edit, as stated above is very nice. The free version though, does not include the debugger. Komodo Edit vs. Komodo IDE. I use Komodo IDE for Python and PHP (w/xdebug). Not to mention being able to change vars on the fly and re-step over some code is always nice. It is rather expensive, but worth the money. The only pet peeve I have is that there are sometimes tabbing and spacing issues that you can configure from the settings, but they take a few times to get them right. I am on a slightly older version and I haven't updated to the latest so this could be a non-issue now. SPE is kind of nice too. I can't remember at the moment why I liked Komodo better, but then again I am still "evaluating" Komodo :-)

It was quite scary, especially because 2 weeks prior, another friend of mine passed away due to having a seizure, suffocate in his sleep after (Similar to the Olympian Flo-Jo). Both of which do not have epilepsy, nor could the doctors determine why they have them. What if the concept of "a pointer to your memory in your brain is invalid" triggers the seizure, your brain reads the data at that pointer and then somehow just before post-ictal phase your brain recovers? This is something I have pondered on before and just curious what anyone else may think.

  19. Environment on Local Web Server For Web Development? · · Score: 1

From what I understand your environment is a virtual machine with Ubuntu, and you are wanting a web server to run for development. Like many of the other people Apache "may" be your best best since it sounds like you are familiar with it from WAMP. I am not sure what you mean by virtual webserver unless you mean you want your virtual machines web server to be exposed to your host machines browser. If that is the case you need to see first which IP your virtual machine has been bound to, see which IP apache has bound to, then see if you can pull that up via IP. If you can then see that, if you want you can always add an entry to your local hosts file to create an alias for your virtual machine if you feel like it. Again your description of what you exactly what is slightly vague but perhaps I hit at least one point.
