Actually it's more like the following:
Hey dude! I just saved $30 by switching to Geico, but I saved $300 by not paying to see all these movies that absolutely sucked balls!
Yeah, it's stealing, but no one here can honestly say that they didn't feel robbed after paying to see garbage like SW Ep 3, or come to think of it, any of the new Star Wars movies let alone the lame remakes of other "classics"... Anyone remember the 199x remake of Godzilla?
I was testing out a web interface I made for an inventory I've been working on after uploading it my companies IIS server.
Doesn't work in IE (nested named links pointing to a frame), works fine in FF, fine in Netscape... Opera doesn't have any support whatsoever for IIS, let alone ActiveX.
Thanks for the free reg code Opera... I use your browser for porn and absolutely nothing else because so little else works.
Judging from the amount of spam people here say they've gotten from this guy I can only assume that they use hotmail as opposed to a mail service that doesn't suck balls.
I've been using gmail for about a year and have yet to recieve a single piece of spam mail.
Short answer: Yes.
Long answer: Yes, but it's using a seperate controller. I think the big fancy thing here is that the chipset will have integrated SATA RAID support.
Application memory management. On System 7.5, you had to manually set how much memory an application was supposed to get. If you guessed wrong, tough - the app would die with an 'out of memory error', regardless of how much physical or even virtual RAM was still available.
I would argue that that was the best feature in MacOS pre-X. There was nothing I loved more than being able to stop IE from sucking up monstorous amounts of RAM while loading simple webpages.
It gave me the ability to dish out RAM as needed instead of as the applications wanted.
Alley 13 Bowling wanted 25 megs of RAM but would run fine in 13? WONDERFUL! I give it 13 and it works fine AND I can leave my apps running in the background without paging.
I really wish Windows/newer MacOS had this feature.
Because that would involve paying $1800 for a PC that will undoubtedly be slower than my current one, and judging from the current DRM-mania would be unupgradable for the most part.
As for eBay. No. I'd rather pay $120 for an OS and run it on my current computers than pay $500 for a 5 year old slow-as-a-dead-dog laptop that still costs that much because it has a fancy neon blue Apple on it.
Apple has, in the past, licensed their OS out to clone manufacturers and it failed horribly. Why? Because it was god awful timing.
Imagine the enormous profit Apple could make if it licensed out OSX to Dell/HP/Etc...
You guys are all bitching that Apple only makes a profit from their hardware. Ok, fine, that may be, but now that they are actually developing for the dominant platform they have absolutely no reason whatsoever to not milk it. Sure they can still sell their own stuff (to anyone dumb enough to buy it) but the real money for them would be from OEMs.
Rant aside, Apple is doing what they need to do to protect their IP, so I don't see why people are up in arms over this.
Actually it is an 8% loss jackass.
.64 ~= 8% of 8
Anyway, the only times I've ever had FF crash is when it's loading massive PDF files... then again I cringle every time I hear someone even mention "PDF" so I don't really mind. It just adds more fuel to the fire.
This is like the third article to call people "linux hackers" and in every case the article vaguely references linux, and has absolutely nothing to do with hacking.
GGWTF?
Of course it does.
When was the last time you saw a nerd beating the shit out of someone in the hallways of school?
Oh wait, that's right. WE DONT. The steroid hungry, mongoloid, 250 pound football players do.
Hot hot hot!
What temperature is this coffee?
HOT HOT HOT!
Is it cold?
No! It's hot hot hot!
I think Clinton burned herself with a decent sized community on this one. It really is pathetic to think that the US (in general) has absolutely no problem with wonton violence, drug use, and rampant criminal activity, but as soon as sex is mentioned they run to the fucking hills like a bomb went off.
"Think of the children!"
Wait a second, how the fuck did you get your kids if it wasn't for some nice mommy-daddy action somewhere.
Come on Hilary, you can't possibly tell me you've never had a roll in the hay... or in the backseat of a car.

Sorry about the double post, but this just occured to me...
Wasn't it about two months ago that BG was ranting on about how cell phones will be the "iPod killer"?
Looks like MS will be comming into the game late... as usual.
It will be at the low, low Apple price of $499.99 for the 64MB model!

Still says Beta on the login page for me.

That this is the final nail in the coffin of Mambo, I hate that damn CMS.

They'll never starve!!
20 times? I don't think so. I've got 7 meg to my house.
that he isn't using Vista? Looks to me like someone sent him a frontend for IE and told him it was a IE7 beta.

I said decent sized, I didn't say majority, influential, or imporatant.
