Our freedom in the US is quickly diminishing under the guise of "Terrorism". It makes me sick watching it happen and knowing there is nothing we can do about it.
Why doesn't Google stop delving into all these other markets and just stick to what it knows?: SEARCH. I can just see the day in the near future that Google is disliked as much as Microsoft because it was being a monopoly.
Good things never last unfortunately...
Thanks. I agree it is another case of hyped up over marketing. It's like Pokemon for example. It's popularity was enormous and kids that were into it really didn't know why. But they HAD TO HAVE them damn trading cards!
I really cannot understand what everybody's interest in Twitter is. I've used it and read some posts and still cannot understand why it is so popular. Maybe I just "don't get it"?
I've played with it a little and Bing seems to be pretty decent. The problem is that I am so used to using Google for searching that it is a hard habit to break. I don't see myself using Bing like I use Google unless I make it my default search engine and force myself to use it (which I'm not really willing to do since Google does the job just fine). The only way I would make the switch is if Bing provides better search results. This has yet to be seen from any Google competitor...
All this talk about tits. This is/. The only reason 90 percent of us even know what a tit is is because we looked it up on Wikipedia or came up from the basement and asked Mom.
I was going to Beijing to compete in the beer drinking competition. They are going to filter Internet traffic now? Great, so now I won't be able to look at Internet pr0n after the competition while I am shitfaced? Forget it! I'm staying home!
Win2k works just fine for sisters needs. She only uses her PC mainly for email. Why should she have to spend another $100 to upgrade her operating system on top of the $150+ she spent on the iPOD just in order to use it? It's like having to upgrade your OS because you bought a new monitor.
My sister purchased an iPOD Nano for her son this Christmas. At the store she saw it required a minimum of XP. She told the sales person she was running Windows 2000 and asked if there was any chance that it would work on Win2k and he said oh yeah, lots of people are using it with win2k. Needless to say when she was trying to set it up on Christmas morning, it would not install saying minimum OS required is XP SP2.
The next day she took it back to Bestbuy and bought a Creative brand MP3 player and was delighted to see it worked on her PC and also not to be locked into one companys music files.
She learned two lessons from the experience:
1. Never trust a salesman at Bestbuy.
2. Never buy an MP3 player that is proprietary and has to have a DRM'd to hell OS.
Did walmart.com get slashdotted? I wanted to see the $200 Linux PC and this is what I got:

Having an end user using any additional security software that is not managed by the enterprise is just asking for a headache.
The way malware seems to work so seemlessly with IE, you would think the malware distributors were on the IE development team.

Good point. People with money do whatever they want, whether they should or not.

You forgot about Microsoft Bob... oh wait, that was a POS, not an OS. Nevermind...

How is this comparable to domain name squatting? Is a Twitter ID really as important as a domain name?
Are you hiring?

Only 200 gallons per calendar year? Well, I'll be sticking with commercial beer then. I can drink 200 gallons per calendar year standing on my head.
Dear Davenport Lyons,
Eat shit.
Sincerely,

I really don't see this as that big of a deal. It was just email and I'm willing to bet 90% or more of it was spam anyway.
It would be a big deal however if they accidently deleted paid web hosting accounts and the users had not the brains to backup their web site data.
