Guess that was the important part of my post, not the link. Cause got knows who cares about the troops when there's some nerd being cynical towards his government.

But no, I probably won't really ever like this admin, just like most didn't let up on Clinton during his tenure.

I remember attacks on him for firing at terrorist camps during the blowjob scandel, calling it a diversion.

Since this is slashdot I can't believe MS releases things "ready when it's ready"

I believe that's John Carmack's theory for games, and he definitely does right by them.

But as a devel under PM who have little or no technical experience, when they come to you with a request for "when will it be done" and you tell them 6 months and they respond with 3. It's a bit annoying, how do you explain to someone in plain english everything that has to be done when in their mind you push a few buttons and it works.

PM's are pains in the ass. No offense ::)

This is just a general rant, but over the past few weeks with Fable coming out I've seen a lot of posts about Lionhead and Peter Molyneux sucking. Cause B&W wasn't perfect, etc etc, then a in another game thread people bitching about how there is nothing innovative, new in games.

Just want to give some props to Molyneux, ok so all his games aren't going to be life altering experiences that bring the entire world together, but he stretches and reaches for new ground.

  22. Re:Clever... on Sony/IBM/Toshiba: CELL Almost Ready · · Score: 3, Insightful

Only problem is that breaks the entire Console way of making games. Game designers who work on consoles know exactly how their game runs on a system. If they have to start creating multiple settings for users to turn on and off it's going to get more complicated I would think. Suddenly they have to count the number of CELL's connected and adjust the game accordingly.

Or release games that have CELL requirements? Sounds good for a techie, but for an average consumer?
