relax relax, I was joking. It just doesn't come across so well in text.
Guess that was the important part of my post, not the link. Cause got knows who cares about the troops when there's some nerd being cynical towards his government.
But no, I probably won't really ever like this admin, just like most didn't let up on Clinton during his tenure.
I remember attacks on him for firing at terrorist camps during the blowjob scandel, calling it a diversion.
Not until the hardware is pushing 100FPS with all the eye-candy on at the highest settings and at the highest resolution your monitor could possibly do.
I'm sorry but that's a pipedream. Granted there will be more PSP's than ngage's, but have you ever heard of people meeting up at the airport see someone else playing an ngage and start playing with them?
Or even hooking up two GBA's randomly? There's an awhful lot of those out there last I checked.
Since this is slashdot I can't believe MS releases things "ready when it's ready"
I believe that's John Carmack's theory for games, and he definitely does right by them.
But as a devel under PM who have little or no technical experience, when they come to you with a request for "when will it be done" and you tell them 6 months and they respond with 3. It's a bit annoying, how do you explain to someone in plain english everything that has to be done when in their mind you push a few buttons and it works.
This is just a general rant, but over the past few weeks with Fable coming out I've seen a lot of posts about Lionhead and Peter Molyneux sucking. Cause B&W wasn't perfect, etc etc, then a in another game thread people bitching about how there is nothing innovative, new in games.
Just want to give some props to Molyneux, ok so all his games aren't going to be life altering experiences that bring the entire world together, but he stretches and reaches for new ground.
What's your CPU? A 4600 isn't too far off the mark of my 9500Pro and I had no real problems running at 1024x768 with medium Quality. That's with a 2.4GHz P4 and a gig of ram, so I guess your mileage might vary.
Only problem is that breaks the entire Console way of making games. Game designers who work on consoles know exactly how their game runs on a system. If they have to start creating multiple settings for users to turn on and off it's going to get more complicated I would think. Suddenly they have to count the number of CELL's connected and adjust the game accordingly.
Or release games that have CELL requirements? Sounds good for a techie, but for an average consumer?
People who want to help out the troops you moron.
Fuck you, go back to the USSR if you don't want differing opinions.

but there is no law yet on the books
Ahhh, but there will probably be on rather soon. To not pass one would be unpatriotic and hurtful to our troops.
Want to help them out?
Soliders need love too Help keep up the morale.
Staten Island of course.
Sorry guys you know NYC loves ya!

No walls, except those made out of cellophane.
If you can do all that, I think you're either A) Working in IT or B) Friends with IT
If you're not, why aren't you? Are you a closet geek?

One of the big draws I see for Sirius & XM are the commercial free stations.
How long will that last I ask.

PM's are pains in the ass. No offense

I earned my nerd wings today by laughing at that a little too hard.
Did you buy Doom 3 before trying the demo?
You must have the SL-5500. Whereas the parent is talking about one of the SLC versions.
9 hours of continuous use is pretty good, I don't think your clie can manage that.
Ebay your SL-5500, plenty of people out there who would like one.
Nice reference. /golf clap
And Leia now asks Luke, "Aren't you alittle veritcally challenged for a storm trooper?"
Does this mean the burrito has a chip in it too?
4) Install AVG or some other Anti-Virus if not there already.
5) Collect funds or some compensation for cleaning lusers computer
6) Profit
True geeks use Zauruses.
:)
Can't get much geekier than that
IIRC Havok is underlying FarCry & HL2, both seem amazing does this new contender offer some competition?

Have you upgraded your drivers lately too?
IIRC, the GATOS guys are now working directly with X.org
/. should have the story in archives.
Hence the reason the project seems to have disintegrated.

kids: "Mommy mommy I want that game it says PS3"
moms: "I guess that means it will run correctly"
At least that's how I see it.
Not like we're getting inundated with news here in the Game section though.
:)
And Dreamcast holds such a special place in so many hearts
Yeah I saw that but figured it's way too late over there for them to be working. They even said they'd try and leave music on at night :)
Anyone getting audio on Windows XP? Good video quality, but not hearing anything.
