to be fair, MS excel has an option in the "window" menu that says "compare side by side" or something similar that will take both windows and put them side by side and link the scrolling between them. i know this is in excel 2003. not sure of other versions. I am a big fan of OO but i will not say anything to knock Excel. I think its a great program.
I did, in fact, efile on the irs website for free this year. Although i understand that it costs money if you make over a certain amount. But the service exists.
as far as pulse-audio problems are concerned, try this:

you can skip adding that guys PPA.
and then when you run windows apps in wine, run them using OSS in winecfg and with the command "padsp" before wine. I do this and i have no sound problems whatsoever
even if they are planning to port valve games, there will be a sooner good side effect from this: it will be nice to be able to install the linux versions of introversion games. currently, if you are running steam in WINE, you can only install the windows versions of those games, even though linux versions are available as a separate install.
I was always bothered by the Iphone commercial in the states that said something along the lines of "This is not a watered down internet, no, this is the real full internet" for this same reason.
Except this was on facebook, which potential employers have been known to reference when considering hiring someone... I can understand the libel argument here.
you are putting words into his mouth. The reason a pirated copy != a lost sale is not based on a sense of "entitlement" of the consumer. The consumer looks at a product and says "hey, i like that, but i can't afford to spend $20 on it. so i will not buy it." but now all of a sudden there is a way for that person to get it for free so they obtain it that way. there was never a sale to be made. Not all piracy happens this way, but a lot does.

Ubuntu is the "gateway linux" nowadays though.
you dont even need a firefox addon a lot of times. go to youtube, load up a video, and then take a look in your /tmp folder (sort by date)

so maybe we will start getting decades long studies when a baby's dev time is that long?
the people who made the R4 no longer support it. I recommend the CycloDS. it automatically patches .nds roms as well.

decent point to make, however, you should know that Windows never comes with Office if you are installing it from disk.
fair enough that this guy is being convicted, but is a prison sentence really fair for a DDoS attack?
"apt is not installed. please use 'apt-get install apt' to install it." I have actually gotten this message :(
i, for one, enjoyed reading "New Page 1"
google didn't create them, keyhole did before google bought them out. google should still work toward cross compatibility though imo.
