I think the lack of a keyboard for command shortcuts is one of the major reasons. that said, i can see a decent mmorpg being developed for the Wii, using wiimote gestures with button press modifiers. That would be really fun to play. the issue of communication would still be tricky though.
They also charge $.20 for every text sent and $.20 for every text received, if you don't pay for their monthly text program. I think this is higher than every other service provider.
the congress gave up their power to declare war and gave it to the president just after 9/11. yet another constitutional violation of this administration.
The drop-off you see near the end of the graph is where both versions of Firefox crash. I'm excited, because unlike the old version, this now actually really helps reduce its memory usage. They didn't crash. That is where the test closes all the tabs/windows that were opened. The drop off means that firefox is freeing up memory when the tabs/windows are closed, where the other browsers aren't. From TFA:
The memory benchmark, which uses the Talos framework and was conducted on Windows Vista, replicates real-world usage patterns by automatically cycling pages through browser windows and then closing them. Firefox 3 used less memory than Firefox 2, Internet Explorer, and Opera, and it also freed more memory than the other browsers when pages were closed. Safari 3 and Internet Explorer 8 could not be benchmarked because they crashed during the test.
I believe if you have cable, which channels you are watching are tracked through that. It might not factor into neilson ratings, but I'm sure the numbers are looked at. I did a quick google for more info on this, but i wasn't able to find anything conclusive.
or you can use a great software alternative to KVM switches such as synergy if you prefer. http://synergy2.sourceforge.net/
at home, i have 2 computers plugged into one monitor (it has 2 inputs) plus a laptop that i control all with one set of mouse/keyboard via synergy.
ok well I guess slashdot can't display the heart symbol at all.....sorry for wasting your time.
the original ad used the heart symbol, not "3". if it HAD used "3" it would be even more way ahead of its time!
that article talks about the graphical smiley face. In fact, we are talking about using the colon, dash, and close paren to make a smiley, in which case it is even OLDER!
It's authorship was credited to the late Harvey Ball (who drew it in the 1960s). "Smiley" is in an ad in the NEW YORK HERALD TRIBUNE, 10 March 1953, pg. 20, cols. 4-6. See for yourself. The ad is for the film LILI, with the "delightful" Leslie Caron. The "World Premiere Today" is at the Trans-Lux 52nd on Lexington. The film opened nationwide, and this ad ran in many newspapers.

at the local level, third parties can have an impact, so a vote there is definitely not throwing it away. however, at the presidential level, third parties are all but shut out from competing. personally, i still vote third party when both major candidates are total jackasses, like in the last election, but i will throw my vote at a major party if they nominate a halfway decent candidate. say maybe barak obama or ron paul in the upcoming election.
Is wide open west available for you?
Most of Chicago area is firmly monopolized by Comcast, but I am in Naperville, and we can get Wide Open West as well. I get 2mbit/sec download and basic cable for around $60 a month. internet outages are very rare, like once every 6 months, for a few hours. i have never seen a cable TV outage yet. customer service is helpful. i hear lots of horror stories about Comcast from my friends
I have no doubt that this would happen in my city. They tried to put fingerprint logins for public library computer access to "catch people who use them to find porn".
It turns out, the mobius strip is just a variation on cDonalds Theorem:
n^2 + 9 + 9
Scientists who study MATHS (Mathematic Anti Telharsic Harfatum Septomin) have yet to find a name for the figure made by plotting its graph. If you can name it, the royal mathematics society would like to here from you!
I, for one, learned all I need to know about maths from this "look around you" educational video. The BASIC code in the intro is easy to create with just this basic knowledge of maths.
Actually, yes. It is called Variable Bitrate. Maximizes the quality and minimizes the diskspace used. That means you can have your ice cream cake, and eat it too!

today, child porn, tomorrow, file sharing sites, and the next day, "subversive" political sites promoting "terrorism".
