None of which are either iPods, plasma televisions or Segway electric scooters. Should we ban exportation of brocolli and brussel sprouts as well?
The whole idea that peerguardian and the like are a means of securing yourself is ludicrous. I'll give you a scenario.
RIAA/MPAA commissioned security firm runs an ultrapeer/server/hub and you connect to it. You happilly upload an index of your hashes. An automatic flag alerts them that you may be hosting someone elses copyrighted materials because you have a known hash. They attempt to connect via their corporate connection, but recieve no response, you have an IP range block firmly in place. They then inturn try to access your machine via *GASP* AOL! Sure, it's dial up, but they are just out to verify anyway. They recieve confirmation that you are hosting the latest Brittany Spears album and proceed to email your ISP with the details of your infringing activities.
There is security, and then there is a false sense of security.
"A few scientists think younger humans may be more vulnerable to the transmissions, because of thinner skulls."
I am sure these scientists come from the same school of thought as those who believed that the earth was flat since the ground appeared to be level always. Once that idea was debunked, they continued to believe that since the sun and planets appeared to move around the earth, that the earth was somehow stationary and at the center of our universe.
It appears these scientists also have thin skulls and perhaps interned at a radio telescope.
Only when pointing to instructions like SSE, which in itself is specialized and specifically targetted at the desktop sector. I am simply pointing out that as far as general processing goes, integer is the bread and butter of the CPU. Go take a look at the Intel ARM processor and then come back to me.
I think people are forgetting the idea that the integrated "GPU" is going to be more like a programmable DSP than an actual graphics accelerator. We know the CPU is wonderful at computing integer math, but it's always been lacking in floating point. The modern GPU has become a floating point monster. The integration of this new element, including instructions to utilize it in native "stream processing" will likely cause a small leap forward in computing power. So, please, don't think of this as a replacement to your video card, put more like an evolution in the area of math-coprocessors.
This video reminded me of how friendly Blizzard is towards Mac OSX. Why is it so hard to port to Linux?

I like my wires. Hell, I have wires that aren't connected to anything strung about. And there is a method to my madness. At any moment, I expect an elite platoon of ninjas to converge on my position to ransack my colllection of porn, carefully concealed as scanned page of the holy bible, and neutralize me before I can say "what the smeg!" I need them to craft my own murder orchesta of Indiana Jones brand whoop ass.
What have your RF signals done for you lately?
What about the content that children assimilate into their social consciousness? Do children who watch more educational programming like PBS, Discovery, and Animal Planet exhibit less symptoms of autistic bahevior than those who watch "junk food" like Cartoon Network, MTV, and VH1?
As I grew up, I didn't have cable until I was in 4th grade. I was practically limited to PBS. I grew up with Sesame Street, Mr. Rogers, Wild Kingdom, NOVA (yes, I watched NOVA as a kid), and a dash of British programs. My junk food TV was basically introduced after I had learned many critical social and language skills. While my behavior may be construed as peculiar, I am hardly autistic.
Yet again, unfounded claims from the industry.

I think the claim of impressive forearms cause by repeated motion is unfounded. I've been doing that for years without any impressive resluts. As a matter of fact, it's only ended in shame.
Imagine that! Placing your printer's serial number, secretly, on every document you print. This makes me feel great that I always throw out my registration cards. 1 year of support, where some highschool drop out continues to insist that I reinstall the drivers from the CD, or make sure the USB cable is plugged in, is not worth the violations of my privacy.
SCO makes claim to ownership of all hurricane names. All females names Katrina shall be recieving ceast and desist letters, along with information on how to properly license their names. When argued that since they were given the names before SCO made their ownership claim, they should be given grandfather status, SCO promptly sent out the goon squad and had them maimed and tortured.

Did I miss something...when did the Xbox360 and PS3 get "Blast Processing?"
I feel that most that have recieved their A+ certifications do not deserve an administration position. The A+ is so very, very basic and mearly touch the history of computing and some of the basics. If you had to aquire the knowledge on how to format a hard drive, or make a directory...then perhaps you don't have the intimate knowledge of the inner workings and processes of your operating enviroment. Even when they touch on Windows, it is taught using wizards, and not console enviroments. An admin will not have the luxury of wizarding everything, and wil have to do processes remotely. This is not someone you want to paying a premium for when the shit really hits the fan.
I have my Novell Server Administration cert, and I can't get a job anywhere with it...it's fairly useless, unless you want to get some juicy info from a Novanet. At least I got it free. =)
Perhaps my old man wasn't too far off his nut when he said, "Leave it up to the Asians to make a drawn out and overly complicated renewable food source."...or perhaps they found a particularly tasty canine and wished to mass produce it? I don't think McDonalds will like the hit to thier market share. Would anyone like a McLassie Value Meal?
