Well, when you're on a Mac and using any of the popular web browsers, you can click and hold for about a half second and the same exact contextual menu will pop up.
I keep my money in a bank. That bank is manned by people who help customers. One day, a person comes into the bank with a gun. This person threatens to shoot a teller if they dont open their till and hand him the money. The teller does, and the robber leaves. I am now going to sue the bank. Why? Because the teller didn't take a bullet to save my money.
Your post is bullshit. Like so many people replying to this story and others, no matter how secure your system is, somone will be able to crack it, through finesse (breaking into the banks computer system with bugs in the system, finding an old passowrd that hasn't been deleted yet) or brute force (driving a truck through the wall of the vault, walking up to the teller with a gun and making them give you money).
I dunno what to say about your post. I agree with it, but I don't agree with it. I have owned (not 0wn3d:) Diablo 2 since just after it came out. I play a bit every week, more some weeks than others. I have a blast every time I play. If the realms arent up some time I DO want to play, I just play another game. I have a level 56 (I think) barbarian, pretty tricked out. He's my only character in what, over 6 months of playing? Many in the D2 community would call me an idiot for not having 3 of each class, each one being a level 80 ass kicker. Well, to them, pfft!
Like I said before, I always have fun when I play. To me, fun is a good game, where I get more loot, maybe a better sword, maybe another level. A lot of these people don't play games for what they are anymore... GAMES!!! Games are made to have fun with, not a career, not something to make someone else's life miserable with, not something to win at all costs at, but to have FUN.
Same goes for CS, I completely suck at the game, but EVERY time I play, I have a great time. But also in CS, you have all the cheaters, the hackers, the spoofers, but I don't think they play to have fun, they play to WIN, which is wrong. Like these soccer-parents, who want their kids to play to win, but the kids just want to have fun.
OK, I'm gonna stop here, cuz otherwise I'm gonna be typin all day.;)
3dfx is the old school player in the video card industry, and Nvidia is the 'upstart' who just happens to make better products than the current big player of the time.
...but Linux just isn't right for games. Linux is good at other stuff. This is the reason I own a G4, for work, and a Windows box, for games. Windows/Linux just isn't good for the WORK I do, and Macs pretty much suck at games. It's just the way it is, and I accpet that. Some people in the Mac/Linux community don't want to accept that. I do, and I know a couple other people I know do. This is why we have different platforms, because people have different needs.
There just isn't a one size fits all computer, just like there is no one size fits all car (or hammer;).
This is true, but in many scenes color was *taken out* to focus you on the one character; like when the janitor is at the door, the orange of his uniform is the only color in the scene. Or when the lady is taking the jewelry, her coat is the only color there too.
Just last night, I saw a commercial for a Fisher-Price baby's toy. I didn't think anything of it (I was in the middle of a huge election debate at the time;) but just before it ended it mentioned "Built on Microsoft's [something I can't remember] Technology", taking up the whole screen, then it went back to the baby being a happy baby playing with this thing.
Screw the developer tools M$ is trying to shove down adolscents (sp?) throats, theyre going after the newborns too! Even their Barney toy went after 4-5 year olds, this one if going for the kids barely even out of their crib!
/me runs away screaming
Anywho, I thought it was kinda creepy, and this story was a good place to put it.
irc.macfiles.net (I think it's .net, maybe .com) #macfiles
More than the old #macfilez, great people there.

IT WAS A JOKE!!!
Wee! Stereotypical AC linux end-all be-all advocate!
Moderate me as you will.
This post is hardly offtopic (how it is moderated as I read it), and it DOES have a lot to do with the current topic.
I'm also wondering the same thing.

Hey buddy, I'm *19* and in Seattle, not *16* and in Seattle! ;)
No, in this case AMD would buy Intel. :)

...it IS cheaper, but only by $1 :)
;)
$249 (base model) + $59 (car bay) = $308 from napdeck.
$309 from SSI.
So there.
Speaking of spelling stuff wrong, I would suggest spelling chlamydia and herpes correctly. :P

Naked PC's, eh? Is this in any way related to the Quickies story from yesterday about Geek Porn?
:)
Just curious.
I haven't gone to the site, but if you say its better than pricewatch.com, then it must be REALLY terrible!
:)
shopper.com 0wnz j00!
When I originally submitted this, I had a little thing at the end, "McCain will frag you all!!"
:)
Hell, *I* thought it was funny.
Too bad they dont have a McCain skin yet...
