    Never works, regardless of details. In this case, creation of information from nothing.

    In this case, text was already recognizable, before the change. By encoding it in different format that is not readable by humans it doesn't mean that information was not there. Think of it as a cipher.

    not really, if you have to buy a monitor. I bought entry level PC for my friends with decent 22" LCD (that is no way good for photo editing) at it costed them $880 after taxes.

    A decent, non-TN LCD of decent size is easily $600 dollars.

    "google it" isn't most savvy solution. A developer should be able to use documentation provided with development kit or IDE. And he/she should do that first before relying on information provided by unknown peer found on some site online.

    It would be much more productive to install java docs on local machine, and then if your Java IDE will be able to provide the documentation information on spot. You don't have to leave IDE. Microsoft has been doing this for years ... just highlight your keyword and press F1.

    As others ahve said, best combo is

    *use Eclipse for lcoal changes that other users don't haveto se
    *use SVN (there's Eclispe plugin called Subclipse) for changes ready for others

    All from one tool. And it is as free as beer - and you might learn more by jsut using it.

    SUSE and fedora are RPM based distros, meaning most patches and software installation by supplied tools rely on and work best with RPM files. SUSE 10.0 had really bad font rendering, as in disabling ClearType-like font smoothing because "it might be Microsoft IP". Most if not all Linux distros suck when it comes to fonts anyway.

    Even those claimed to be 8-bit per channel are usually marketing tricks - similar to Apple's own. The easier way to spot a TN is viewing angle specification. Number of real 8-bit per channel monitors is fast approaching zero. it would be there if TN technology was acceptable on LCD TVs.

    Last drivers appeared few days ago for all Windows from XP to vista x64... you haven't even specified to which product your statement applies.

    Beside that, I see in my collection that new Vista drivers appeared in October and November 2007, then now in March 2007, which is surely more often than "less than one new driver a year".

    What is worst is that people actually buy in your propaganda. One would think that having Creative HW + SW is terrible experience, while truth is quite different. For example, creative drivers provide simple thing as multichannel expansion (2 to 4..7 channels) - unlike most other manufacturers.

    Beside, last 3 or 4 batch of drivers were pretty stable for X-fi series.

    How did this baseless company bashing get on front page? Pure sensationalism?
