DRM is in the content, not the PVR. You can add the K-Lite codec pack, and VLC to media portal, and have as much freedom in de/trans coding as MythTV. You will be just as locked out from DRM stuff anyway.

The content is encrypted and signed. Your player can retreive keys to this content - or not.
