    I find reCaptcha high readable, this isn't like other captcha techniques where there are really thin letters and randoms objects strewn about, it's just blurry, zoomed in typewritten words that are hard for a computer to distinguish.

    You know, the whole "nerf" thing isn't just used to piss off gamers, sometimes it is really used to fix broken things. Everything you described about the Blizzard spell sounds like it was broken. Not "broken".

    Most people won't even cash those checks as they honestly look pretty dang cool. Plus it's one of those bragging symbols, "hey, check out this check I got from EA to pimp their game!" It's kind of like getting a check from Knuth.

    For one, it's ATI, they're awful with Linux drivers. Secondly, seems like anything is possible in xorg.conf, so it's probably possible.

    I would have preferred that there was some kind of external box you'd plug all the monitors into instead of all six fat cables running to the same machine that takes up three expansion slots.

    A few months, maybe a year ago we were discussing Jordan and Sanderson, I mentioned that even if Jordan can't finish a series, he sure can finish a book! The guy writes epic endings, someone here mentioned that Sanderson is just as good, and being on the third book of the Mistborn series, I would definitely agree. I have full confidence that he can finish the series well.

    Creator's Club is simply nothing like the OtherOS support Sony had. One is for developing XNA framework games and selling them on Xbox Live, the other is for turning your PS3 into a slightly gimped Linux box (gimped as in no direct access to GPU). They're targeted at completely different people and don't even serve remotely the same purpose.

    The fact that many games now retail for $60 was outrageous to some people, but really we should all be surprised that it didn't happen sooner.

    It did happen sooner, plenty of Nintendo 64 games were 60 or 70 bucks. Of course, that was the last generation of the big cartridge and EEPROM.

    It's not lack of support, it's that it supports both. Have a bunch of servers you want to get rid of that have DDR2? Just grab that RAM and pop it in this machine, or buy new DDR2 ram at a cheaper price than DDR3 for little performance difference.

    Their desktop socket AM2+/AM3 is the same way.

    Couple of months ago I was in Agile training at work and our ad-hoc group was tasked with making a better mouse trap. We decided to create a mouse trap (on paper) that would report its status via Twitter. Whether the trap was sprung, caught a mouse, was out of bait, etc.

    Seems like it would be great to have a private network of twitter-enabled devices where only you or friends would be able to monitor their status. There's way too many privacy concerns with an open network like Twitter.
