I have read a Russian cult novel a few years back, that at it's core, had a full virtual-reality game, and in the sequel, the game was upgraded to have humans playing the monsters as well, except they made the entire game team-based. The novels were written by Sergei Lukjanenko.
I used to work as a cashier, and those virtual coupons aren't regulated at all. You can always just say you forgot your card, and give them the code "1111111111" which will work just as well as any card you bring in. Or make up a phone number - they all work.
My distinction between laptops and desktops is that one can be carried, and one cannot. My desktop cannot be carried. If you make a 20 pound computer with a handle, there is no way that's blurring the line - it's still in the desktop area firmly by my standards.

There was also a $500,000 fine paid to the government.
Google wouldn't profit by blocking 99% of the internet, including itself.
Surely you mean, Graphical Violins leads to Explicit Sax?
Note to self: Use bigger sarcasm tags.
Or use someone else's cards. That always works.
Dammit, 1 AM my time is no time to be fighting the Communist Propaganda!
As another one to add to the list already given, http://www.runescape.com/ is a browser-based MMO that doesn't have classes.
