Now, moresothanever, I hope that the PS3 fails! It sickens me to think of wide spread proliferation of this console in home all across the world draining all that power:( Consumer electronics are one of the first things that need to become more energy efficient if we are going to taclke this little problem that we're getting ourselves into...
I'm sorry, but this has really incensed me! This is absolute crap, I am incredibly organised when it comes to email because it's easy to stay on-top off (well, at least try to.) If an email is important, or it contains information that I will definatly need in the future, I will file it in a subfolder. If it's related to ongoing work, I will keep it in my intray until said work is completed when it will then be deleted. If it's my mother sending me pictures of kitten it will hit the trash before I've even gotten to the end.
I wish my life was this organised, but it's just not - my bedroom is always a mess of clothes (until I start running out) and God knows that this place could do with a spring clean! Organising one's "virtual" presence is a hell of a lot easier than physically sorting things out!
That felt good:)
We run 2x VM Ware ESX Servers on Sun x4200 servers (w. 8 gig o' ram:) - the web-gui for ESX is second to none, incredibly easy to configure virtual machines. It's got us seriously considering moving more than just our dev enviroments over to virtualised hardware.
Our ISP has recently had to filter mail via SORBS (http://www.sorbs.net/) to combat the amount of spam - it's been causing havok as hotmail and yahoo users get their mail randomly rejected. I'm presuming this is a simlar line of defense.
wonder if anyone could offer me a quick bit of advice (Sorry, I know this is O/T!). Our phone system, apart from being ancient, runs on a 166Mhz Cyrix (lol!) with OS/2 installed. If the hard disc in that machine fails, we are buggered as our telco no longer supports OS/2 and wants us to upgrade (a snap at £8,000!).
My question is - does anyone know how I can make a perfect hard disc image that I can restore from if the Rickety 2Gb Segate in the box fails? Any advice greatly appreciated.
Even tho this is old news, I wish Sony / The Publishers would get their act together and release some decent games for the PSP. At the moment, the only good thing to do with them is illegal (homebrew, emuz, etc).
I was at the Gizmondo launch party in central London back in April / May time. They must have spent millions on it with live performances from Sting, Jamiriqui and various other "expensive to hire" types (Tom Green and Danni Minouge provided an appauling dynamic).
At the time I thought it was doomed to failure (it looked like a cross between an Atari Lynx and that odd Nokia gaming phone) - still, the free chamapagn helped dull the pain.
I was busting for one!!! ;)

Of course, but this is where the line is drawn - and as of now, my girlfriend resents endless housework ;)

I love the way there is a serios lack of actual PCB on the card - hence the massive fan / headsink / plastik-crap (tm) on it.
So THAT's where I left it!

I know it's not strictly speaking Win95, (plus the fact you were clearly making said comment in jest) but ReacOS?
It's called gaffer tape - works even better on the back i^Hmacbooks
get out...
Yeah, but does it run solitaire?
It's just funny to watch her hit counter go mad whenever I post here ;)

Oh come on, it's so painfully obvious that the Mac Mini is best SFF PC you can currently buy - who doesn't want one of these sat under their telly?
if you haven't tried the beta already, simply press the Windows Key and R, then type 'mspaint.exe' without the quotes.
classic.
Okay, very cool - but I wish slashdot would advertise my viral marketing campaigns for free as well... http://www.gutrecords.com/ecards *ahem*
I thought as much, knoppix to the rescue!
:)
thankyou

Thank God people have almost cracked running Windows XP on these new Mactels!

The Brian Eno Win95 sound can be found here, brings back fond memories ;)

DUPE! (what was that noise? oh my karma hitting the floor...)
Like I said in a previous reply - I use flash to design pop and rock artist websites - very little content, but very, well, flashy ;)
