    Yeah, but they are not using Class A, rather AB with digital pre-distortion, feed forward, or Doherty. The base station PA are probably running about 40% PAE.

    Why can't fiber just be run everywhere? Rural Electrification brought electricity everywhere (big ,thick metal cables). Copper phone lines are available to all households. Why the hell can't the same be done with fiber. Do it right and it should be good for 100 years.

    Yeah, but remember in TOS they had to beam down anti-matter (contained in a magnetic bottle)? Spock said something about it have more energy that 1000 cobalt bomb. Those magnetic bottle are self powering. What few anti-matter atoms that escape are enough to power it, constantly re-generating the H field. It's a self sustaining feedback loop.

    KCMO or KS? KCMO has a 1% earnings tax; I pay it and it sucks. None that I know of on KS side. As I said though, you guys are in rat race. Yes Leawood is a well off strip, but it's not all old money. So pick a lower cost area, say Overland Park with $69k income vs. $77k for SF. Housing price is $228k vs $778k. As I said, rat race; enjoy it.

    Whoops, I meat thrust without (expelling) mass. Anyway, you'd have to pack 35 nuclear reactors in a 1000 kg probe, so it will also take a breakthrough in small and efficient fusion power. Maybe 100 years from now.

    Say you did have a drive that could produce mass without thrust, at 100% efficiency, it would take continuous power of 35 GW to get a 1000 kg craft to 1/2C in 10 years. So not doable yet, but within this century, probably.

    I've had one of the vacuums for years, and the only issue was the plastic piece used for storing the wand broke off.. Very happy not having to screw with bags.
