    Yet he will say:
"thats fine, we will move your job to India"

Oh, but if an outsource to India article is posted, you all chime in with your usual zeal to slaughter the large "greedy" corporations. Please.
Your lack of understanding of how the world works if chilidhly naive and outright dumb. Money is not evil. Money is a metric, and whilst there are faults of the free market system, we are much more likely to get running water and decent healthcare for the world going down the free market route.
Russia and China are glowing examples of why "the other way" doesn't work.
The dangers of the free market system is there seems to be no protection for the environment by the US (see Kyoto) the worlds largest poluter. And the US uses its trade influence to exert its political will, but i'll take that over state run communism any day. And that we don't focus resources on parts of the world that need it most.

So, MS charges for a product that it creates using R&D, manufacturing, support etc etc. Linux is coded co-operatively with donations from large corporate sponsors even if some of the base work is free. Its hardly "clean hands" with no self interest or revenue stream.

I think if you look at what MS are saying, they are saying free software makes it harder (or impossible) to generate revenue income for software.
What will we be left with Linux? I don't want Linux with the Xfree 86 underneath, Kernel compilation and version dependancies, deciding whether I need KDE or Gnome I don't want to compile my programs and neither does my grandma.

Greve hardly sits on the fence, he is the president of the FSFE, he doesn't like DRM. He'd prefer the existing system where we can all download illegal MP3's from bit torrent or Kazaa for free.

MS think content providers should have their work protected, and offer their platform for playing / providing. If their license model doesn't appeal to you, go use Napster, or iTunes. MS doesn't stop you doing that, they just provide their own DRM.

I've read the document, and I am glad that references to the operating system revenues where removed, as it doesn't relate well to the topic which was digital content, creation/delivery/business models.

It's just a shame that the Linux people cannot see thay Linux isn't free. It just receives money from more indirect sources.

I'm sure MS are fighting like dogs to protect itself and it's model, but Linux is not a virgin, or a saint either.

The irony of all this of course is that MS are moving more and more to a services model. It's interesting from an outsiders point of view to watch Linux people criticise MS yet fail to resolve some of their own governance problems. Its enjoyable watching Mark Shuttelworth trying to fix some of those problems too, I think he's doing a great job. I like both Linux and Windows, I just don't see either side as evil, I'm sure both people on both sides are trying to create the best products/software they can.
