I was like 8 years old at the time, but I don't remember having any memory issues. I seem to recall I needed the 8k pack to load the larger games that took up both sides of a tape. By the time I really got into writing BASIC myself I had an 8086 and 640k, I wrote a few multi-thousand line programs and games, I wish I still had those 5 1/4 floppies:\
I've been building desktops and servers for many years and for the past couple Maxtor is the WORST disk to go with.
In the last 2 months I have dealt with 7 failures from all different sites. All 7 ? Maxtor drives.
I have many of all brands out there and Seagate has been the most reliable by far for the desktop/small server market. I hope they don't change that.. there is nothing fun about losing a disk.. or should I say dealing with someone who has lost a disk that is not backed up:)
Personally I Played WoW a few hours a day from beta through to a few months ago. Made a few level 60 characters, etc. but grew bored with it over time and started playing other games. Games like battlefield 1942, work, girlfriend, and this really great new graphically intense one called "outside".
Me too.. didn't see any though, so had to contribute.
Just like when someone posts about "podcasting" there has to be the necessary amount of people wishing harm upon the poster.
Remember kids, slashdot comments are SERIOUS BUSINESS.

Commodore vic-20 with *two* tape drives and an *8k* memory expansion pack! I could run super leet amounts of basic code with that extra 8k.

As far as I know the local cable ISP here (shaw.ca) QoS demotes torrent traffic. A very good thing if you ask me. Usenet > p2p

Um. Flamebait or are you actually completely insane ?
