    Is this supposed to be the argument that convinces me that it's ok for anyone to deploy landmines? Because they're useful tools in the time of war? If it's not, please point me at it, because I don't see it. You know what else is a useful tool in the time of war? Killing POWs. I mean, hell, more troops are freed up to fight, so we should have fewer casualties, right? But we don't, because it's fucking BARBARIC. Just like landmines.

    Arguably, shooting people with guns is just as barbaric. Should we abandon those, as well? Heck, just killing people is barbaric! We should outlaw war... that would solve the problems. Clearly, if war was illegal, no one would need any guns.

    With a Kodak digital camera I have. The shutter button was constantly drooping over the contact, locking up the camera. I took the case apart, and shoved a very small roll of paper under the button arm to hold it up. I haven't had any problems since then!

    I agree about reading. I grew up pretty much just reading for entertainment; I hardly watched any television. Now, my grammar and spelling are impeccable. Of course, there's probably also some of that nature/nurture stuff which must be taken into account.

    "Style" is not something that can be copyrighted. Only works can be copyrighted.

    Maybe not theoretically, but I recall a model car painting kit with a picture of a Porsche in it, and in the fine print it said that the name Porsche, the horse logo, and "the distinctive design" of their cars are copyright of Porsche.

    I'm guessing for a "reasonable" fee you can be put on a list to make sure your software doesn't "accidentally" get mis-classified and deleted.

    It depends how you want this "anti-gravity" to be applied. In some cases, "anti-gravity" might be an additional regular gravity source that pulls something upwards, instead of being something that repels stuff upwards. For example, a building might make use of a gravity generator at the top, which could pull the elevators upwards, rather than an anti-gravity device at the bottom to push them up.
