It's not like there's something past a theory. That's the highest that evolution could be, according to the scientific method. Note that the conjecture that the world revolves around the sun is called the heliocentric theory. Theories and science are not mutually exclusive, as you proclaim -- they are one and the same.
Why is it again that Democrats are even relevant to this story? It's not like they're significantly different parties, but for what it's worth, more Republicans than Democrats voted against this measure, and Republicans current have a majority in Congress. You're in no way validating some political point with me by saying that some Democrats voted in the same way as some Republicans in an entirely superfluous way. If you're trying to say that the entire Democrat party does not hold to any principles (totally irrelevant) because of three votes against the rest of the party, why isn't the one Republican vote in favor of the amendment equally damning?
There hasn't been any discussion of a law to make neutrality illegal. Yet, the proposal to preserve it was defeated. There isn't a middle ground - either this tiered internet is legal, or it is not, and the movement to make it illegal apparently isn't winning.
If you'd RTFA, you'd see that the headline and writeup are actually taken more or less directly from the article - if there's spin there, it's not from Slashdot.
Exactly. In my last days of Hotmail, I would check my spam folder, and ignore my inbox, since any message I actually wanted to read was marked as spam (even with the minimum allowed spam settings), and anything I didn't want to read went straight to my inbox. I would have even used Hotmail like that, but there was eventually some more crossover between the two, so I left it, and haven't looked back.
There are severalextensions for gestures in Firefox. These aren't extra programs that have to run in the background. For what it's worth, extensions are primarily why I haven't looked back at closed-source browsing.

Yahoo shows up on the next page. Some other search engines show up multiple times in the next few pages. Not sure that Google ever shows up.
If there's a small projector of this sort, it could be used with mini-ITX systems. The whiskey-bottle server would be even better with this.
With a roll-up keyboard (ThinkGeek), a port for my wireless mouse, and a small projector like this, something on the level of that bottled server could serve as a laptop, but with much more character.
I already feel uncomfortable when someone pats me on the back - I'm the type to immediately try to find the sticky note. But I can find stickies - not sure that I'd find a 7.5 micron tag.
...people never thought the world was flat. For millenia, we've noticed that you see the top of a ship in the horizon before the rest of it, which was attributed to the world's spherical shape. One of the great Greek mathematicians also accurately determined the circumference of the Earth within a couple of miles, if I recall.
I'd like to add my two pennies, late as they are.
"It's a theory, not a science."
Eh, what?

The normal IE/Firefox/Opera toolbar shows that too.
True. I'll just have my old one reversed, I suppose.
Oh noes!

5 - ...Profit?
Guess I probably just got modded -1: Cliche.
Remember the last time the government wanted information from Google?
What happens if I anonymously post on a New Jersey forum from Illinois?
For that matter, what makes it a New Jersey forum? The physical location of the server? The physical location of the forum admins?
And if another state supports anonymous posting, but the anonymous posting happens to be on a NJ server...
Isn't this why the federal government controls interstate relations (i.e., currency)?
Au contraire, that's why you're sticking to the main tank.
That's the thing with automatic garbage collection.
-1 Flamebait.

Yeah, I'm certain that all the businesses who claimed to have problems were lying about it. With the same lies. At the same time. Independently.
For successful FOSS projects, I'd put Apache at #1. MySQL #2.
Didn't the game come out October 6th?
Not sure that you're getting one.
