From the article: "MSN describes Kahuna as an incubation project that has been built from the ground up utilizing the latest Web technologies, such as AJAX, a Web application architecture that combines HTML/Dynamic HTML (DHTML) with Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), XML, and other technologies."
I know how many hacks I needed to get the CSS for my (simple) web page working in IE. I feel sorry for the people trying to get something this complicated to look good...
I get free wifi too. My neighbor doesn't secure his connection... its a bit low on signal strength though. Hopefully Google provide me with a better solution soon!
I have been using the nightly versions of 1.5beta for the last week and haven't run into any problems. The incremental updates are working well, most days these are quite small, about 200KB, athough it was 6MB the other day (but I suppose you expect that with developmental versions)
You can always switch to other free AV scanners. I switched to AntiVir http://www.free-av.com/ when McAfee slowed down my computer too much. It does the job for me...
Although the compatability between Microsoft Office and OpenOffice has definitely improved, it would be interesting to know how much trouble is had in this region. The switch to OpenOffice because it is free arguement does not take into account the amount of time spent trying to make old documents work. If it could be shown by a large organization that all is good many more may make the switch
I'd say a lot of people will actually see it - as long as it is not released at the same time as something big. Even if it flops at the cinema, people rent really crappy movies all the time - when your nt paying much a crappy movie doesn't seem that bad
