According to the MS article thing on it, that won't happen anymore. Autorun only happens for CD/DVD discs now. In fact this update SPECIFICALLY targets thumb drives for disabling autorun (though it affects all non-disc drives).
Nintendo keeps patching the Wii to block homebrew attempts calling them "stability updates" and blocking use of the Wii Shop until you update for no good reason. So they're not much better. Sony's Other OS option seemed to make everyone happy though, and I only started hearing about the PS3 being broken after that option was removed. If all consoles had something like that I bet piracy would go down just because people developing homebrew wouldn't have to punch holes that pirates can crawl through.
Thank you for writing us. Our engineers are hard at work on a brand new invention called THE SUN that will shortly eliminate all the snow in Boston, and indeed the entire state of Massachusetts. We also have our physicists at work on a little something called the LAWS OF THERMODYNAMICS that will ensure that the snow melts slowly enough not to cause a flood; as opposed to all the snow melting simultaneously.
Chrome seems to just render a blank document for mhtml: urls, and doesn't let you enter them in the omnibox directly (it searches instead). Firefox gets confused and thinks mhtml: is not associated with any application and so refuses to open it. (Even if it didn't, IIRC it'll ask you whether you want to open it or not.)
How much of this will Facebook be able to counter in the first five minutes when they present their ToS as evidence and ask the guy in front of the court if he agreed to those terms?
It's understandable Microsoft doesn't want to be specific on how they know he cheated, since other cheaters may be able to figure out how to remain undetected from such information.
With a penalty behind it (a la Do Not Call) it could work, otherwise it's about as effective as the TCP packet evil bit.
Personally I would encourage people to proactively block advertisers using existing tools such as AdBlock and NoScript. That way you don't have to trust the advertisers not to track you.
Because such add-ons are installed and loaded differently from standard add-ons. Normal add-ons are per-user and reside in the user's profile; Firefox knows what this directory structure looks like and can safely remove addons. However these special add-ons are installed who knows where on your disk and a special registry entry set up to have every Firefox user profile load them. Firefox doesn't even know if it CAN be uninstalled (Example: user permissions forbid writing to the add-on's folder, likely to happen under Vista/7).
I was putting my SD card in my Wii without looking and accidentally fed it into the CD slot. Had to buy said special screwdriver to disassemble the thing to get it out.
I used to use Live Bookmarks once. However I find the nearly useless since I have to open each feed individually and remember what was in there before to see if there are updates. Now I use Google Reader, which is not only cross-browser, but shows all my feeds in one spot, and only shows me unread new items.

Well if they guess both, one is bound to be right!
Dear Mayor Curley,
Thank you for writing us.
Makes sense to me. Read the following sentence in the summary. On the other hand, there is no m in "be". :)

from XP up through Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008
I doubt it was that sophisticated; they probably just hooked up the wires for the ringer or vibrator to a detonator instead.
... hierarchical command structures are everywhere in our society?

It's sideways.
Apparently not, unless this unicode snowman shows up:
Don't worry, your friends and family will upload pictures of you and tag them for you so Facebook has photos of you to draw from.
I find it amusing people go to official channels for support for their pirated products.

There are modern ports of the DN3D engine along with high-res texture/model packs. Google around and have fun. :)
with no backups. Faulty power supply fried it last year. Yeah, I keep regular backups now.
Because of a lack of numbers, my post is just as valuable as your post, regardless of the order of posting! So there!

That said, it sure would be nice if the 3DS has a tv-out function...
Considering no TV can do 3D the same way the 3DS can, not really...
Maybe this can help?
Aside: Woah, I pasted something and it worked!
