Was she on the witness stand? I thought the lawyers themselves were not under oath. Having a lawyer under oath would kind of defeat the purpose of them from being.. well.. lawyers.
Sony can say it all they want, but that doesn't mean it is true. Say something often enough and people will believe it. I have seen this work before. Hopefully someone/something shuts this action by sony down as soon as possible.
It is called wire lath (spelling?) It was (maybe still is) used with plaster walls. I had it in a house built in the 1950s. FM, wireless signals only worked in that room, not room to room. Even cell signals had issues. Then again having that wire on the walls and ceilings made each room like a Faraday cage.
You might want to go look at outlook and exchange again..pst == outlook on a pop account..ost == outlook with exchange.
The 2gig.pst file size went away with outlook 2003. That or I am imagining all the 3,4,5,6gig.pst files that we are seeing backed up in the logs.
If people would stop using outlook as a file storage system I would be a lot happier. Save those attachments on a file server not in outlook or any other email system. Email should be just email maybe a calendar for those that cannot deal with having more then one application. The whole 'all for one and one for all' thinking of software is wrong in my opinion. What ever happened to to do one thing and do it well.
The battleships that are floating museums would be taken by almost any country that has a coastline. They may not be 'modern' but as proven in the gulf war I, those guns still work very well and are very effective. It was said in a documentary (history channel?) that the Iowa(?)class of battleship was ahead of its time in WWII. That class of ship is still effective today.
And think about this for a minute: Sell the ship get millions (if not more) or make it a museum which costs money to run everyday. The US may be stupid in a lot of ways, but if they wanted to get rid of these ships selling them would have been done. The battleships have not been sold because they can be called back into service if need be. Other ships are being sold/taken apart for salvage yes, but not the battleships.
Only if the girls you want to date judge you by the car you drive, your paycheck, and your house/apartment. Then when someone comes along with a bigger car/house/apartment/paycheck they will leave you.
How many people are actually compile their own kernel?
'Newer' people to linux are most likely not compiling their own kernel. This a good thing, I want people to get used to linux and change the kernel when\if they get the understanding on what they are doing. Many people just download the ISO of their choosing, burn it, install it, and go.
read/write to a microsoft file server? use your own email client to work with exchange? Use your own system to read and write to AD?
seriously, I want to know what people are looking for. I keep on seeing specifications and protocols but for what purpose? I am not trolling (even though I'll be modded a such) I do not see examples of what people are looking for, lots of complaints but not examples.
Microsoft is a monopoly, fine we get that, give me an example of what you cannot do without pulling the monopoly card.
A Big SUN server running a VM with a Windows Server ruinning a VM running Solaris running a VM with a Windows Server ruinning a VM running Solaris running a VM with a Windows Server ruinning a VM running Solaris running....
Apple OSX is only licensed to run on Apple hardware. So to be 'legal' one would have to buy Apple hardware with OSX then put microsoft in a VM on it. I would like to be able to get OSX and put it on my own hardware. But Apple doesn't want the support headaches of all the different hardware configurations out there.
Excel looks a lot like lotus 123. And since microsoft wants that word-excel-powerpoint tie in they have the same interface. A bunch of people that always hated excel's interface actually like the 2007 one. It reminds them of the old lotus 123 days. Personally I think people who loved lotus 123 are running the office team. They said make it look like this **points to lotus 123 screen**
You might want to be careful of that. I know of a number of people who got emails from their ISP to stop theie peer to peer sharing of Heroes. The email was asking them to stop or they will be could face a copyright lawsuit.
The external monitor/projector did not auto start with the new macs here. (purchased in the last three weeks) Needed to go into the displays under system preferences and turn it on for the first time. Maybe it was the DVI to VGA adapter? After it was turned on and configured it remembered those settings the next time that projector was used. I don't know if this laptop is also used with other projectors/monitors. From what the professor tells me, it isn't. That setup is very similar to what is needed for the windows machines. The main differences is that on windows usually a fn- is needed to turn on the external monitor/projector port.
non admin account on windows work fine, if the software you are using was written that way. If software was written to write to the main system directory every time it runs, that is the software writer's fault not the fault of the operating system. Microsoft can be blamed for a lot of things (and rightfully so), but microsoft cannot be blamed for other people writing software that wants to lock of system files. The blame belongs to whoever wrote that software.
Does the the ms office software run when a non-admin account start them, yes it does. Can it be installed by the non-admin, no. Then again can a regular user make changes to a linux or mac system without sodu or entering in the root/administrator password, no. That is the way it should be. A limited user should not be able to make what ever system wide changes they want to at will. Can microsoft be blamed for making everyone run as admin popular, yes they can.
NYC Farming some people have (all be it really small) backyards with 'dirt'. Will something grow in it? Not a clue. There are a lot of people making gardens on the roof top of buildings. Not the skyscrapers but the lower ones. It is possible to grow food in NYC. Enough for all there to eat... unlikely.
in other words, microsoft is like most of the other major corporations in the world. The upper management makes the decisions and leave it up to the rest of the working staff to make it happen.
Is that an problem for the or the application? If the application writers don't want to install in user space and work correctly, can you blame microsoft for software that they (it) didn't write? Also, if application stop needed the full system level access to run, these applications could be ported easier. Well maybe anyway. Your 10000% correct application need to stop needing write access to the windows system directories.
I thought there was supposed to be one matrix movie too. They needed three. Cut out all the fillers from the movies put what is left together get one (longer) good movie?
This is exactly what the crappy people running want. A poor turnout of people who could vote against them. Look at all the people running. See if any of them have your views. Go with that person. Or vote for the person who you think will be best for you.
Not voting at all will certainly put bad people in office. Since those people also have the biggest support from sheep.. er.. followers who will blindly do what they want.
Vote for the third person, write one in. If Micky Mouse won an election, maybe the people in office would take notice.

Are they going to sue themselves? the labels say to put videos and music on those CDs and DVDs.

"Aren't people at conferences handing out USB sticks as schwag with 493424 gigs these days in exchange for your business card?"
Please let me know what conferences are handing out USB sticks that are 493,424 Gigs in size! I can only find 16GB USB sticks available.

No matter how much you 'love' your pet reptile or salamander, it i not your child.
And if you really do have a human child with a three chambered heart I do feel sorry and hope the medical community is looking for a way to repair it.

I thought that one of those companies would have taken JAVA a long time ago.
