So they decide on universal ports for chargers.... but nothing about accessories. I love it! Even funnier, they say nothing about this generation micro-USB chargers working on next generation phones! Don't worry guys, they'll find a way to fleece us yet!
You are correct AOL was a lot like this. Having had used AOL I can already tell you this model has been proven to fail. AOL had spam, it had scummy chatrooms, it had punters, and of course phishers galore.
Fucking cry babies who literally want to trade liberty for security.
Not exactly. I think it's a bunch of assholes who want to trick everyone else to trade their freedoms (anonymity and such) and a $um of money for job security for said assholes.
Or do they actually have something? Personally I don't see it working that well. A system that detects where the fire comes from and automatically returns fire with a sniper round, or an RPG, would be much bigger deterrent IMO.
I agree with parent post. It takes years to get most of the kinks worked out of an OS. And probably same time to get good drivers for all your hardware.
Doesn't the embargo prohibit MS from selling them software? Unless they pirate it, in which case I can understand why CIA would want a backdoor in Windows.
JESUS I thought they were going to bring all those satellites down! Man I love that company, shorting the hell out of their bonds provided me with a paycheck back in the day. If they were still around, every Al Queda high ranking member would probably own one of their satellite phones.
Exploit like this have been found in about every MMO out there. And if the game was popular enough, finding such exploit yielded you a nice payday. I know of a group of players in UO who made 50k a piece in a course of a year exploiting one bug. It's like having the game you love to play be your day job, but not having to compete with Chinese farmers, because you have a golden egg-laying goose.
I'm pretty sure "Never get into a fight that you aren't guaranteed to win" is a rule for all PvP. It's just not every game gives you the option to escape successfully.
This one is just so ridiculous that none of us should even try to figure it out. Just trying to measure the validity of their complaint will mean they have already won.
People who cheat and exploit will be in a game regardless of target audience, do not kid yourself.
Pre-Trammel UO was wondrous, I enjoyed in immensely even as a person who was often on the receiving end of such pounding. Even losing everything you could bounce back quickly, because the game was not populated by ultra-rare must-have uber weapons or armor.
The freedom that "kill everyone and cut up their body and stomp on it" environment has fosters greater player interactions. Actions of other players just cannot be ignored. When someone arrives int own claiming there is a murderer or few at the City of the Dead (usual ganking and farming spot), a posse forms to go fight them immediately. Hell I remember one time when a well known murderer with a huge price on his head showed up, about 20 people went to get him on short notice! But he got away that time.
Players formed guilds, players crafted and sold wares, players fought wars, or even protected others for money. The game had a very good economy with an unquenchable demand for armor and weapons from smiths and tailors. It was simply another world.
Sony and EA would have the money, but they're simply too greedy and shortsighted: they want money NOW and don't understand that with MMORPG you make money on the long time, but only if you don't botch the launch.
Trace Buster Buster!
There's an app for that.
I must agree with Parent's sentiment. It could do anything, it's a lot of money. I can tell you thou it won't do much probably.

Sounds like small factories. I thought that China had these huge Soviet-style factories.

2) Enthusiastic uptake of some kind of "no humans were exploited in the making of this product" sticker, in the free market.
I got a feeling it would be kinda like Vista Ready sticker.

I thought we didn't like sequels around here. I thought we were all about new innovative games, not a rehash of the old.
"We unlock iPhones." Investigate? [Yes/No]

I don't think Russia can be considered communist anymore.

They vote with their wallets. You know the vote that really counts.

People rioting over food shortages, and the police using excessive force to bring them down... sounds like a plot for a movie or something.
Wear and tear circulated those out. And they were +25 damage if I recall correctly.
Not only that, Achievements will become unimpressive must have for all MMORPGs before long.
If we replaced all our congressmen with 6-million-dollar men/women, we would save our country Trillions in no time.
You know the joke is that they spend more than... ahhh just forget it.

DING DING DING DING. This all the way.
