Yeah, but there is probably a lot less people screaming "BOOM HEAD SHOT", humping people after a kill, or dead people proclaiming "omg h4x".
A measure of who reads /. might be better...

Slashdot should be able to pull a majority of our IPs and figure out what general area we are browsing the web from. Then you could compare how many unique hits you got from a particular state/providence/country vs the entire population of that area and get a "geek index". Might want to toss something in there for volume as well for corporations/schools, etc. Would not be completely accurate but a hell of a lot closer then the "circuit city index".
By doing this you can make all the games the same size and possibly smaller then they are now. The big advantage of console games is they fit into such a small space you can fit many times more games then you can the large unwieldy boxes PC games still come in. While this is somewhat of a security measure I think the corporations at large would be willing to trade a higher theft risk vs being able to put out more games.
Maybe with this change the EB games near me will have more then just a small off-center rack of PC titles.
True, what I meant was the cost to replace an office of 6 PCs is a lot less then trying to replace the PCs in 92 stores, 6 DCs, and a corporate office with over 1k working in it.
... that I have worked for that has changed operating systems on anything besides their servers except when they did a hardware "refresh" (read: PC broke). I know the company I work for is getting ready to start using Vista on their new PCs that they order when Microsoft stops letting HP put it on their PCs but until then it's XP.
Hell now that I think about it, I got rid of the last NT 4.0 machine just two months ago. Unless your corporation is very small you keep PCs around until they die or become so obsolete they can no longer run the programs you need them to. In this case we had an active directory upgrade so we had to get rid of all the NT 4.0 machines as they were no longer going to work with the upgrade.
The out of sync errors are inexcusable. Hey jackasses, kick the guy out who is out of sync, don't end the friggin game.
Other then that though, my favorite RTS of all time. I like all the sides, I like the rush vs defense decisions you have to make, I like the maps, I like the units... overall a great series. If you didn't play it online again after the ZH expansion you are missing out.
Also/. does not generate it's own content... users do. So unless someone submits the article it's never going to get posted. You want/. to be on the bleeding edge of the headlines? Submit fresh news stories when you find them.
To farm items and gold to sell to people IRL for real cash, to farm for ingredients for items you are going to use in a raid later that night when you are not there, etc.
He was possibly playing Saint's Row and he is only 15! That game has an M rating! One can only imagine what this has done to that poor child's psyche.

Indiana. Now we can say we have big PC game boxes and corn!

Here comes the Second Impact. Glad I'm a couple hundred miles inland and not living in Japan...
What the heck did you do to get banned from their forums?
Naw, we would just the the slashvertisments triple.
There is lots of them. Gencon, E3, Slashdot...
When was the last time a major publisher released a turn based wargame?
Not so sure about "major", but Shattered Union was excellent.
An economic simulation like Capitalism II?
Try 1701AD.
Good games out there but you have to really look for them. Mostly Indie developers and the like.

It's like a 90 year old women buying a Porsche and using it to drive around town to the grocery store. Just seems like a big waste....

Hard to tell, but looks like he has his 360 hooked to a standard definition TV :|
Well yes, I meant on future articles and future mod points as I have none currently.
Nice, but Lobsters are more like bugs then animals. (even though they are in the kingdom Animalia)
This would be an update to the case, letting us know it started and when Gates and Ballmar would have to take the stand.
We had an article about Global Warming on here years back, does that make every article about Global Warming after it a dupe?
Is Ford responsible for every accident on the road? Ford and Microsoft just filled a need... not their fault if you can't watch were you are going.
OK - I'll use my next set of mod points to whoever can get a decent comparison that has to do with aquatic animals. GO!
Wasn't trying to compete with your e-p33n, just saying my opinion of the game. That being said, I bet I could still whoop ya ;)
By that (completely specious) logic, you should be asking Intel's legal department about the company's processor roadmap.
Your comparison is crap. He's the spokesman for the company... he should be the second guy to know about these things.

I somehow doubt a black hole appearing around what you are orbiting would do you much good :p

I see you are new to humor...
