  1. Bugs on Record Labels Release Software To Combat Piracy · · Score: 0

It seems like all that any of this software will do is simply delay the deistribution of pirated software. People will always find a way around it..

  2. PEBKAC on Computer Jargon Too Difficult for Office Workers · · Score: 0

This is just further evidence supporting PEBKAC.

    Best advice ever.. "RTFM!"

  3. Re:Patriot Act on London Tube Dangerous for Technophiles? · · Score: 0

"The fact that the overwhelming number of terrorists are now young Middle Eastern males has established a profile." Yes, and there have been reports of situations involving the search/detainment of a Middle Easterner based SOLELY on his race. Because people believe that if you're Middle Eastern, you're a terrorist. It's a lot like people thinking that all blacks are criminals, which is racial profiling.

  4. Pattern? on Current-Gen Price Drop and 360 Shortage · · Score: 0

I do believe I remember there also being a shortage of the original X-Boxes when they were being released. Either, too many people like Microsoft or Microsoft isn't making enough consoles. And, why would they even include this information in an article? Of COURSE the old console prices are going to drop, how obvious is that. There is always a higher demand for the newer and usually better stuff, so the price for the old stuff goes down. That's just common sense.

  5. Patriot Act on London Tube Dangerous for Technophiles? · · Score: 0

Since this is in London, there's not much I can say about it being unconstitutional, but similar events are happening in the US. A lot of the detainments and searches are because of racial profiling. Terrorism is affecting the world in a huge way, and I don't mean the terrorists scaring everyone and killing people, I mean the governments are taking completely outragous steps to "prevent" it. Yes, it may have helped but is it really really worth sacrificing our freedom and rights for? There are other solutions..

  6. Intelligence is bad? on When More Information Isn't a Good Thing · · Score: 0

Seems like they say intelligence is bad because people become more aware. Which kinda supports the idea that the government somewhat depends on the ignorance of society..

  7. State of the Onion on State of the Onion 9 · · Score: 0

I recently started learning perl and this is the first state of the onion that I've read. I think they went a little overboard with the props and whatnot, they should have focused more on information.

  8. PS3 on Sony To Cut About 10K Jobs · · Score: 0

I think this might be a necesarry step for them to be able to build and sell the PS3 for less than $384570394857345, in order to actually compete with X Box 360.

  9. Google on the Rise on Google Putting Crowd Wisdom to Work · · Score: 0

This is incredible, Google has grown from a small search engine to a huge technology group. This new software seems like a great idea. I predict that Google is going to soon be one of the leading technology companies out there, if it isn't already

  10. Wonderful! on Dell Launches Flash Music Player · · Score: 0

I've been wanting a good/compact/decent memory MP3 player for awhile now. The reason I didn't get the iPod shuffleis because my friend said they break very easy, plus I don't like the lack of a display screen. The name, yeah, kinda wierd but oh well, not a huge deal. I think this is going to be good competition for the iPod shuffle if it gets alot of media attention like the iPod does.

  11. Re:Everything is vulnerable. on Korean Mozilla Binaries Infected · · Score: 1

There will always be loopholes in any program/code/language/os.. So yeah. As long as the program exsists, there will be people to exploit it's problems.

Didn't we see that one coming from the beginning?

  16. Reduce, maybe, stop? No.. on Movie Studios Unveil New Anti-Piracy Lab · · Score: 1

$30 million dollars.. The best they are going to get out of all that money is probably a small reduction in the ammount of piracy, if even that. Their biggest mistake would be to try and and reduce piracy by creating more complex encryptions, etc.. Cause there will always be someone who will break it and figure out how to get around the new system. Waste of money if you ask me.

  17. My Views on Government Love and Hate for Video Games · · Score: 2, Informative

I understand where this person is coming from but they are viewing the industry in a different way then he is. People can say, "yeah some games are good and not bad influencing, but other games (shooters, GTA, etc) are a bad influence." Though IMO I think this is wrong. I think games give people skills such as multitasking and quick thinking, which are both required in almost every good game out there..
